Chapter 4 - Earth Empire

(The carriage arrives at the Earth Empire, welcomed by a view of harsh, rugged nature. Rocky mountains loom on the horizon, and the surrounding lands are covered with sand and massive stones. The royal palace looks as if it were carved from the mountains themselves—grand and imposing.)

(Agnes looks out of the carriage window, stunned by the sudden beauty of the empire.)

(Suddenly, screams erupt and the ground outside begins to shake, drawing everyone toward the plaza. A massive rock beast appears, as if it has emerged from the earth itself. Its eyes glow orange, and its body is made of enormous, jagged stones. The monster destroys everything in its path.)

Agnes (anxiously, preparing herself): I have to stop it!

(She steps forward to face the beast, attempting to use her powers. She sends powerful gusts of wind toward it, but it is barely affected—only stepping back a few paces before attacking again with greater force. Agnes tries to maneuver, but she cannot fully control her powers. The wind bursts out chaotically, making the monster even more ferocious.)

(Agnes retreats with heavy steps, beginning to feel exhausted. Suddenly, a sarcastic female voice is heard.)

Girl (arrogantly, hand on her hip): Is that all you've got?

(Agnes turns to see a beautiful girl with dark skin, curly hair dancing in the wind, and Indian-style clothes adorned with gold and silk, shimmering under the sun. She stands confidently, her eyes full of challenge.)

Girl (mocking): If you're the Heir of the Wind, this is very disappointing. You're incredibly weak.

(Agnes feels insulted but tries to control her anger, staring at the girl with determination.)

Agnes (restrained anger): And who are you to say that?!

(The girl smiles confidently, but before she can respond, the monster advances toward them again. The girl calmly raises her hand, preparing to face it.)

(The rock beast charges toward Agnes and the girl, crushing small stones beneath its feet. The girl shows no fear—only a confident smile. Suddenly, she lifts her right hand and lightly stomps the ground. The earth beneath the monster begins to tremble, as if responding to her command.)

(From beneath the beast, massive rocky roots emerge, wrapping around its limbs and restraining it tightly. The monster roars, struggling to break free, but the girl extends her hand forward and closes her eyes, focusing her energy on controlling the earth. Sharp stone pillars erupt from the ground, striking the monster and sending it flying, shattering it into pieces.)

(Dust fills the air for a moment, then clears to reveal the girl standing confidently, one hand on her hip. She turns to Agnes with a sly smile.)

Girl (arrogant with a comedic tone): Well, that was easy. You're lucky I was here—otherwise you'd have been a light snack for that monster.

(Agnes feels embarrassed and angry at the comment, but tries to appear calm.)

Agnes (tense): And who are you?

(The girl places her other hand on her chest proudly and lifts her chin slightly, as if showing off.)

Diana (proudly and playfully): I'm Diana, the second daughter of the Earth Emperor and the younger sister of Prince Tarkan. They say I'm the most beautiful woman in the empire—after the Empress, of course. I'm not that ungrateful.

(Agnes feels a mix of annoyance and surprise at her behavior. Diana seems arrogant, but she has a strong and striking presence.)

Diana (approaching Agnes): And you… don't tell me—you're the Wind Princess, right? I've heard about you. Honestly, I expected something more impressive.

(Agnes bristles at her words but takes a deep breath and replies firmly.)

Agnes: I'm here to learn and become stronger.

(Diana laughs briefly and pats Agnes on the shoulder casually.)

Diana (mockingly confident): Well then, let's see what you can do. Don't worry—as long as I'm here, you won't destroy the place with your uncontrolled powers.

(Diana walks away confidently, leaving Agnes wondering about the nature of this girl who seems to combine beauty, power, and arrogance.)

---

(After that, Agnes continues her way to the Earth Palace, where servants and the Emperor's assistant, a man named Or, greet her. He bows slightly and says with a gentle smile.)

Or: Greetings, Princess. How was your journey? I hope it was comfortable.

Agnes (smiling as she returns the greeting): Thank you, it was good… except for that annoying girl.

(She says the last part in an inaudible whisper. Or ignores it and continues.)

Or: His Majesty the Emperor wishes to meet you. Please, follow me.

(Agnes nods and follows him through a long corridor. There is no sound except their footsteps. At last, they reach the throne room. Agnes's heart begins to pound nervously.)

(Or opens the door and enters first, followed by Agnes. Both bow respectfully. Agnes lifts her head and sees Emperor Arkan seated on the throne in all his majesty and grandeur, making her even more nervous.)

Arkan (smiling at Agnes): Holy Maiden, how was your journey? Was it comfortable?

Agnes (stammering): Y–yes, Your Majesty, it was very comfortable.

(The Emperor smiles and speaks to Or.)

Arkan: The Holy Maiden is a distinguished guest. Order the servants to prepare a room for her.

(Or bows and turns to leave, with Agnes following. Once they are far from the throne room, Agnes's heartbeat finally calms, and she feels more at ease.)

(The next day, Agnes begins her training under Diana's supervision. The training field of the Earth Empire is vast, surrounded by massive stone-like trees that appear carved by nature itself. Diana stands beside Agnes, hand on her hip, watching her with an evaluating gaze.)

Diana (arrogant yet playful): All right, let's begin. Show me how you control your wind—but this time, without knocking everything over.

Agnes (suppressed anger): I'll do my best.

(Agnes begins to summon the wind, eyes closed as she focuses her energy. A gentle breeze forms around her, but suddenly it grows stronger than expected. Diana raises an eyebrow and steps back slightly.)

Diana (mocking): Oh, great… just don't kill yourself.

(The wind slips out of Agnes's control, shattering the small rocks around her. She tries to calm her power, but it continues to spiral.)

(Suddenly, a warm male voice comes from behind.)

Young Man (calmly): You need to focus on your breathing, not just your power.

(Agnes opens her eyes and turns toward the voice. She sees a tall young man with short brown hair and light brown eyes glowing with warmth. His features resemble Emperor Arkan's, but they are softer and kinder. He wears simple armor that reflects his humility, and a gentle smile graces his face.)

Diana (with a forced smile): Oh, look who decided to join us. What brings you here, dear Prince?

Tarkan (lightly joking): I came to see if my little sister was taking advantage of our guest.

(Diana laughs briefly and gestures toward Agnes.)

Diana (arrogantly): Taking advantage of her? I'm just helping her avoid killing herself.

(Tarkan ignores her comment and looks at Agnes, who still feels uneasy about the chaos caused by the wind.)

Tarkan (kindly): Don't worry. Controlling power isn't easy at first. It takes patience and practice.

Agnes (softly): Thank you… I'll try again.

(Tarkan steps closer and stands beside her, gesturing toward the hand she uses to guide the wind.)

Tarkan (calmly): Try to feel the energy as part of you, not something you're forcing. Breathe deeply, and let the wind follow your will—not the other way around.

(Agnes closes her eyes again and follows his advice. The wind begins to form around her in a calmer, steadier way. She slowly opens her eyes and smiles faintly when she realizes she succeeded.)

Agnes (in awe): I did it…

Tarkan (encouraging smile): I told you—it's all about focus.

(Diana watches the scene silently, pretending to be uninterested.)

Diana (cheerfully): All right, all right, don't make it sound like a miracle.

(Tarkan ignores her and looks at Agnes again.)

Tarkan (kindly): If you ever need help, you can ask me anytime.

(Agnes feels comforted by Tarkan's kindness and encouragement, so different from Diana's arrogance. The two exchange friendly looks, while Diana stands nearby, pretending not to care.)
