" I know love , I'll eat immediately I get the chance..yes I'm properly covered....I won't let myself go too" Su Nanyin smiled as she listened to the nagging man. She held the phone in one hand whilst pulling her luggage with the other.
"Mhmm I miss you already too" she said smiling, eyes radiating as they formed a crescent. "Talk to you later dear, I'm about to get a ticket" Su Nanyin drops the phone in her handbag.
"Where would you be heading to ma'am?" An airport ticket counter lady asked.
"Chengdu" she answered.
Su Nanyin got on the plane. It's been five years. Five years since she left.
' Finally back, I wonder how everyone is doing' she thought, she had this bittersweet feeling inside.
She arrived in the evening. Sent a text to her bestie of her safe arrival and then headed out.
"Nanyin!!!!!!" She heard a scream as she head out of the airport. She turned towards the source.
"Xin!!" Su Nanyin left her luggage and ran towards Zhang Yuxin, her college bestfriend. They both crashed into each other.
"Oh my goodness! You look amazing!!! Ahh you went over to enjoy yourself, leaving me here to suffer" Zhang Yuxin complained, circling Su Nanyin and nodded, satisfied with what she say.
"Nonsense! What enjoyment?" Su Nanyin countered all smiles. "You didn't let me know you're coming to pick me up"
"I wanted it to be a surprise " Zhang Yuxin said "C'mon, you're treating us, we have alot to catch up on!!" She took her luggage and held her. Su Nanyin giggled.
Su Nanyin wanted to book a high end restaurant, but Zhang Yuxin refused and dragged her to her favourite road side food store. Su Nanyin took her time to tell her about all she did.
"Aish you're amazing! How'd you do all in that short time" admiration all over
"It's nothing amazing, I just honed..I didn't start from scratch and all" Su Nanyin smiled a bit
" Nonsense! So what are you going to do now?'
" I'll find a suitable company, settle and work" Su Nanyin answered.
"Xi entertainment is one of the easiest and it's the among the leading...." She stopped and stared at Su Nanyin "OMG the bubble tea is really nice try more, I know you love it"
" I'll rather avoid anything to do with the Xi family, I'll go for Tianyu" Su Nanyin said, her eyes a bit cold.
"Tianyu is good yes, and with your qualifications it'll be easy for you to get in" Zhang Yuxin said. She paused a bit "How's your mother?" She asked. Su Nanyin's tea spilled. "Aish be careful" Zhang Yuxin shouted.
"It's fine" Su Nanyin said cleaning the spill "she's fine" Zhang Yuxin felt alittle chill when she met Su Nanyin eyes. "The doctor said we just need to hope, she's still able to wake up"
"I'm so sorry Nanyin..I was supposed to look after her" Zhang Yuxin said tears streaming down.
"It's alright, it's not your fault" Nanyin said "let's discuss something happier" Zhang Yuxin saw the hurt expression but smiled and told her all the gossips she missed out on.
Zhang Yuxin dropped her off at a hotel as Su Nanyin refused to stay with her.
"Call me when you get home" Su Nanyin told Zhang Yuxin.
"Will do. Take care of yourself, I would've come to see you tomorrow but I've got an audition..."
"There's no problem Xin, I'm alright, I'll call you tomorrow" Su Nanyin said. She got into the hotel as Zhang Yuxin drove off. Booked a room. Refreshed. Then headed downstairs to the hotel restaurant.
"What can I get you ma?" The waiter asked.
"Gu Beichen!!!"
