Johnny Storm's P.O.V.
The Silver Surfer got knocked hard. He is falling fast. Gotta try and catch him. "FLAME ON!" I shout and take off like a jet. I am trying to catch up with him. He is falling faster than I can fly. I see his trajectory shit there's a helicopter he is going to hit.
"Reed we have a problem!" I shout into my com.
"What is it Johnny?" I hear Reed Richards voice come through my earpiece.
"There's a helicopter in the Surfer's path. It isn't far from you guys." I notice the pilot trying to take emergency actions. He almost made it but the Surfer hit the back tail fin. It is unstable but the pilot seems to be in control that is until the Silver Surfer hits the ground. I see the chopper get hit by the shockwave and it gets turned sideways. It should be fine I think to myself until I see a female floating in mid-air then she starts free falling.
"Reed a passenger got knocked out of the helicopter she is free falling. I am rushing to save her you guys handle the helicopter."
"I see you Johnny. We got the helicopter you catch the female." My sister Sue Storm comes across the comlink. With that I push my powers to their limit. Time to be a hero. She's smart she is trying to slow her fall by spreading out her body. That make my job easier. I catch up at about half a mile from the ground. I deactivate my flames on my arms and grab her arm.
"I got you pretty lady."
"You got me but who has you?!" I heard her shout back as she looks at me and grabs my arms with her other are.
"Relax the names Johnny, Johnny Storm. My friends call me the Human Torche and I can fly. So you are in good hands. Your chopper is being taken care of by my friends. I will have you down on solid earth soon." I reply as I continue to fly her towards the ground and near the helicopter. I see Reed stretch himself into a trampoline at least 60 feet wide. He is being suspended in the air by something invisible. Must be my sister using her powers. Ben is standing on his chest. Probably going to catch the helicopter so it doesn't hurt Reed while he cushions the impact. Yep just as I thought. I watch it happen just like I figured. I'll just fly around in a lazy circle to descend while they get everybody out of the helicopter.
"Miss we are about to land." I stated to calm the lady.
"Misses. I'm married but thank you for saving my life." She replies back. Damn just my luck. She's hot as can be but married. "I am truly thankful for your rescue. I am certain my baby boy will be thankful too." She continues. Of course not only is she married she has a kid also.
"That's great I like kids. I would love to meet him sometime." I say the only thing that comes to mind besides my self pity.
Cassandra's P.O.V.
I was rescued from probably certain death by this young sounding guy who calls himself Johnny Storm the Human Torch. Not sure why someone would call themselves that but hey he saved my life. He can call himself rubber ducky and I would still be happy. I will make it home to my baby boy alive. He seems to be hitting on me guess I have to burst his bubble. "Misses. I'm married but thank you for saving my life." I reply. I hope he gets the clue.msybe I should give him another. "I am truly thankful for your rescue. I am certain my baby boy will be thankful too." There now he knows not only am I married but I also have a kid.
"That's great I like kids. I would love to meet him sometime." I hear him say but he sounds a little down so I believe he got the clues. I look around and I see the helicopter being lowered down in what appears to be a blue tarp.
"Yep Reed and the team saved your helicopter and crew." Johnny says as we slowly fly lower.
"Hey Reed, Sis, and Ben look at what I saved from going splat." I hear Johnny say with a light and happy tone.
"Lil' brother get over here and help with the other passengers." I hear a female state as well land. I start looking around but I don't see anyone. Johnny laughs then I hear him say, "You'll have a hard time finding my sister Sue Storm. Her nickname is the Invisible Girl." He keeps on laughing at my confusion. As I was looking around a blonde haired lady slowly fades into existence. She's wearing a skin tight uniform similar to what Johnny is wearing. I think to myself glad Marcus isn't here or he might ask if she can help feed him. She's definitely got a body. I think Marcus likes mine better but she's not bad at all. Wait what am I thinking. Marcus' body likes are not what I should be focusing on right now. I need to get home.
"Um..excuse me. I hate to bother, but is there any way I can get you to help me get home. My little boy is waiting for my and has been crying. He is only 2 years old." I ask carefully.
"No problem Misses.." I hear another male voice state.
"Misses Blaze, Misses Cassandra Blaze."
"Ah Misses Cassandra Blaze. You recently took over BC pharmaceuticals. If I remember correctly." A second male voice replies.
As I look around I see the tarp shrinking and there in front of me stands a man and a thing?? The man is tall, older, with slightly curly brown hair on top. He also is wearing a skin tight uniform and now I notice all their uniforms have the number 4 on them. The thing standing beside him is tall looking to be made of orange colored stone. Now that I get a good look, he is in what looks like shorts and he is OMG CARRYING the helicopter. I need to keep my cool. Something or someone that strong could kill me with a wave.
"I'm Reed Richards. Also known as Mr. Fantastic. You have already met Johnny Storm a.k.a the Human Torch and his sister Susan my fiancé. This large gentleman is Benjamin Grimm. He isn't a thing but people call him that. Together we are known as the Fantastic Four." Reed Richards introduces everyone to me.
"Hi, as I stated I am Cassandra Blaze. And apparently as you know I am the CEO of BC pharmaceuticals. We were on the way to my house in the suburbs when our helicopter got hit by something. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me get home to my baby boy as soon as possible." I reply and request with a bow of my head.
"Lady, that's the first normal reaction I have had since our accident. For a person like you I would fly you anywhere." The tall rock like beings known as Benjamin Grimm tells me. Shortly after that my assistant steps out of the helicopter takes one look at him and screams like she's dieing and faints. "And that is the usual response I get." He continues with sadness laced in his voice.
"I am sorry to see my assistant react like that Mr. Grimm. If there is any way I can help please don't hesitate to ask. You and yours saved me and mine. It is a life debt that I will try anything to repay that doesn't cross my bottom line. Sorry Johnny Storm that means I will not cheat on my husband." I finish with a smile. Which sets everyone but Johnny laughing.
"She got you there Matchstick." Benjamin Grimm says through his laugh. "But Mrs. Blaze you don't gotta be all formal with me or any of us. Just call me Ben." He politely tells me.
"Yeah what old Rocky there said. Just call me Johnny." Johnny Storm chimes in.
"Exactly as my little brother and Ben stated. You do not have to be formal with us. Please just call me Sue or Susan." Susan Storm lightly chimes along.
"As for myself you may call me Reed. You do not need to apply my last name." Reed Richards says with a polite smile. As for your help, I would greatly appreciate that Mrs. Blaze. Having your company's help could maybe lead to a cure for my good friend's problem." Mr. Reed Richards states.
"And you all can call me Cassandra or Cassie. Problem? What problem might I ask?" I asked with both confusion and hope to do something to repay having my life saved.
"Yes well all of us had our bodies changed or mutated if you will by cosmic radiation. This happened because my protective screen collapsed from a power overload. I gained the ability to stretch, inflate, and manipulate by body shade and size. Johny there gained the ability to turn himself into a living flame with the abilities to control fire and fly. Sue here gained the abilities to turn invisible and create nearly indestructible force fields and invisible constructs. Unfortunately, while we gained powers and retained our human looks. Ben here mutated. While he gained immense strength, durability, and recovery. His skin and flesh became a living mass of rock like substance. I would hope that maybe your company could research a possible cure for Ben's condition." Reed carefully explained their circumstances.
"I would be happy to have my family's company try to find a cure. I would need you all to assist. Especially if you each have tissue or cell samples before and after each of you got exposed to this cosmic radiation you have mentioned. I mention each of you because that will allow our researchers a larger pool of genetic mutation for us to find a cause in the genetic shift." I reply while trying to think of what all the company would need to start researching a cure.
"That would be greatly appreciated. While I am one of the smartest beings on our planet. I cannot possibly see every nuance of every experiment needed to search for a cure. Especially, when I am quite often called upon for crisis that affect our planet." Reed tells me.
"Speaking of crisis. Do any of you happen to know what actually caused our helicopter to become damaged and create that massive meteor like impact?" I ask.
"Unfortunately yes, yes we do know." Susan hesitantly replies. "Our new friend was knocked out of the sky by the being we are going to face. It was his body that impacted with your helicopter and hit the ground like a meteor."
"Is he okay?"
"He should be fine. I saw him getting up when I flew by." Johnny replies with a smile. "I'll go check on him now that everyone is safe on the ground." He says as he shouts, "FLAME ON!" Then he takes off flying in the air back the way we came.
After a few minutes go by. I can see a shiny being flying beside Johnny, and they are heading our way. A few more seconds and I can see much clearer. It looks like a metal man wearing no clothes. I quickly avert my eyes and cover them with my hands.
"Hey Cassie, why you hiding your face?" Johny asks.
"Your friend is naked. Why do you think I am covering my eyes Johnny?"
"Excuse me young lady. Have we met before?" A new voice enters my ears. It must be the new "friend" that was mentioned. "I don't think so, good sir. I know I would remember a metal man running around naked if I ever saw one before.
"Mr. Reed Richards, what does she mean by running around naked?"
"Here on Earth, Silver Surfer, our species believes that our reproductive organs should be covered at least somewhat unless we are either with out significant other or if it is publicly allowed by the community or agreed upon by all parties involved." I hear Reed's voice reply.
"Ahh I am beginning to understand. My planet also had a similar belief." The new voice of this person the Silver Surfer replies. "Then let's me ask you this, is there a reason I find this person familiar even though she says we have never met?" He continues.
"What about her do you find familiar?" Sue's voice cuts across the conversation.
"Her blood. I have sensed her blood before. She also looks exactly like someone I met before." The Silver Surfer responds. I can feel his gaze centered on my body. Then it hits me. Someone who has my blood and looks like me, only one person my twin Megan.
"I believe I read in a recent exposé that Cassandra has an identical twin." Reed responded.
"Identical twin?" The Silver Surfer asks.
"Yes our species can on occasion reproduce with more than one child per pregnancy. Some multiple birth pregnancies are because multiple eggs get fertilized. This leads to a phenomenon on our planet we call this as faternal twins. Sometimes the beginning cells of that pregnancy will split. If that happens we get identical twins being born." I hear Reed explain.
"So if you don't mind Norrin could you maybe at least create some clothing for yourself to wear. You don't have to if you don't want to, but then young Cassie here will not be looking at you otherwise." I heard Susan state.
"Not at all, Susan Storm. However, I would like to point out that I am not naked. The metal caring you see is actually not my skin but a coating that has been applied buy my master Galactus to alloy me to travel across the universe and through all manner of hostile environments." I hear the voice of the Silver Surfer stated back.
"Facinating." I heard Reed reply in astonishment.
"Quick Suzy, distract big brain or we are never going to get anywhere." I heard the deep base like voice of Ben come through.
"Reed before you get drawn into a long intellectual conversation about anything else we have multiple problems that need to be solved first. There is the problem of helping Cassandra get home. Then we need to figure out how we can stop Galactus' plans on eating our planet. And after those problems we have our own immediate problems like our wedding to finish planning." I hear Sue getting onto Reed.
"I could just fly her home." Johnny offers.
"Thank you for the offer Johnny, but after nearly dieing, I can honestly state if I am going to be flying again it will only be in something safer than a helicopter. I don't think dangling by my arms hundreds of feet up in the air qualifies for that." I replied in a crisp tone.
"Why don't we take the FF car that Reed built. I can fly us all there and it is way safer and sturdier than a helicopter?" I hear Ben say.
"Thank you Ben. When we get to my place allow me the chance to host while we discuss some of the other problems. I can even introduce you all to my little boy. Fair warning Sue he is one of if not the cutest little boys you will ever see. Be careful because you would not be the first female that he wormed his way into their heart. That title goes to my sister. I swear sometimes I believe she loves him more than me and she is my twin." I stated with a laugh. "Also Reed I would say he is one of the smartest beings on the planet. He already solves mathematical problems of high-school difficulty and can read and write." I continued
"Really? How old is he?" Reed asked
"He is 2 years old." I reply. That is when I notice the silence. "Uh hello anyone there?"
"HE'S HOW OLD?!" Johnny's high pitched voice echoing in my ears.
"As I said he is two. He turns three in a few months, but he has been doing those things since his second birthday. He is very articulate. He still makes minor errors most kids or toddlers make, but between us I think he makes those errors so others don't see how smart he is. I catch him on occasion talking like you, and I then a little while later he will mispronounce words he has used many times. It is like he is scared to show his true intelligence for fear that me or my sister will love him less." I rambled on. I could go on talking about my baby boy for forever.
"Amazing!" I hear Susan breathe in deeply.
"Wow Stretch, sounds like I get to meet a kid smarter than you." Ben states with a chuckle.
"God I hope not. I already have enough competition for Sue's affection. To have a child that looks cute and is super intelligent. Now that is a cause for alarm." Reed replies to Ben with a laugh.
"Why do you say that Mr. Reed Richards?" The voice of the Silver Surfer comes through.
"Because I personally think Sue has a nerd fetish. She has always been attracted to the smart guys." Reed's voice replies then he realizeswho just spoke.
"OH do I now?" Sue's voiced and she sounds a little upset. "Norrin dear go make yourself some clothes to alleviate Cassie's discomfort and you my dear Reed Richards. You and Benjamin go get the FF car prepared for flight. We girls need to talk." Sue's voice takes on a commanding tone.
"What about me sis?" Johnny asks.
"You can go fly around while waiting for those two knuckle heads to finish getting the car ready. Now move it you 4. Me and Cassie need to talk while looking after the other members of her helicopter crew." Sue commands.
"Way to go oh glorious leader. You just had to pass Suzy off. I'm not sure why I got lumped in with you, but the next time you decide you want to make comments about her personal life and feelings out loud and around others. Please make sure I am not around. I don't like being stuck in the middle between you two. Much less catching strays she fires off because I am your friend." Ben's voice rumbles off as it sounds like he is moving away.
"It is safe to open your eyes now Cassie. Norrin has created a suit like what Reed, Johnny, and I are wearing." Sue's voice whispers into my ear.
"Okay and thank you Sue." I carefully open my eyes while looking around cautiously.
"Not a problem. Let's check up on the pilot and co-pilot. Your assistant has just fainted. While we are at it you can tell me more about your little baby boy." Sue politely whispers to me.
"That sounds fine by me. I love talking about my little boy. He is the center of my universe." I happily reply. As we check the helicopter both pilot and co-piilot are unconscious. The seem to be fine and breathing well. We break out the first-aid kit. I pull out the ammonia pad. A quick whiff of it below their noses and both come to in a matter of seconds.
"So tell me about your little boy. What's he look like? Do you have any pictures? Is he really as smart as you mentioned?" Sue quickly fires off several questions to me.
"Of course I do. He has raven black hair and the bright sapphire blue eyes that just sparkle in the light. With the cutest face you will probably ever see. Here take a look." I say while pulling out my purse from the storage compartment to get to my wallet. There it is my wallet. "Here Sue take a look at my little boy, and tell me what you think." I hand her my wallet then start to help the pilots out of the helicopter.
"Oh my word!" Sue exclaims. "How can he be so cute but devilishly handsome at the same time?" She questions me.
"I don't know. I mean his father is quite handsome and I am no slouch in the looks department either. However, it's like the universe took the best parts of my genes and his dad's genes put them together and threw in an upgrade while throwing away the less than perfect parts. I swear if I hadn't pushed him out myself and seen him at birth covered in blood. I would doubt he is even my son." I reply.
"Gods, he is perfect. Good luck keeping him a virgin until he is an adult. I can only imagine what he will look like when he hits 18. If he works out to stay in shape he will be killing women as he walks down the road."
"I know right. Finding him a woman will not be the issue. Finding him a good woman will be the issue. With his looks right now he can pretty much have his pick, but when he gets older, I might need to hire you to make him invisible just to keep him safe from female predators."
"Don't put to much faith in me Cassie. I'll not lie to you. If he looks anything like what I am imagining in my head right now. I'd jump through hoops, if he has a good personality, just for a shot at him." Sue laughs after replying.
"Rather a female I can trust than some whore I don't know getting her hooks into him." I reply.
"Well if I am single when he comes of age. I would happily help you keep him safe, but fair warning, if he is anything like my imagination and blessed with a great personality. I just might have to call you mother-in-law." Sue jokes with me.
"I accept." I reply with a giggle. "Done then we agree. If you are single, he looks like your imagination, and has a great personality you'll become my daughter-in-law." I laughing joke while helping my assistant to come around.
"Yeah, we have a deal, and maybe just maybe knowing he has some competition for my affection Reed will man up and quit putting things off. We got engaged years ago but he still hasn't set a wedding date. I am beginning to think he is scared to marry."
--mean while back at the Blaze household--
*Aaachoo* *Achoo*
"Are you getting sick nephew?" Aunt Meg asks while holding me as we watch TV. I had just finished having breastfeeding. My aunt decided to let me have my favorite drink while we wait for my mom to get home.
"I don't think so."
" Must be some female talking about you."
"Aunt Meg, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure you can. My sweet nephew can ask me anything. "
"Auntie Meg, do you wuv me?" I ask in childish voice.
"Of course I do my little man."
"Do you wuv my mommy?"
"Yes, I wuv your mommy my sister very much."
"If you wuv me, and you wuv mommy, why do you get wheely upset with mommy but not with me?"
"That's because your mommy sometimes does things that your Auntie Meg doesn't like. When she does that it makes me really upset with her."
"Oh. Mommy said if we wuv someone we will do them favors."
"Yes Marcus that is what we do. We do those favors for the ones we wuv."
"Can I ask a favor of you since you wuv me?"
"Anything my dear Marcus anything your heart desires."
"You pwomise?"
"Ha ha ha, of course my dear ask me anything you want."
"You gotta pinky swear. Mommy said those pwomises can't be bwoken without bad tings happening."
"Okay give me your pinky my little man. Now I swear by my pinky I will do anything you ask of me. So go ahead and ask your favor."
"Pwease don't get mad at me if I ever do someting you don't like."
"I promise. I will not get mad at you should you do something I don't like. But you have to promise me to try to avoid doing things I don't like."
"Okay, I promise to try and only do things you like."
As we sit there waiting for my mom to fet home. We hear a loud sound from outside. At first I think it is my mom arriving by helicopter like my aunt has mentioned. Until I realize it isn't the sound of a helicopter. It is quieter than a jet but much louder than a helicopter. As I look at my aunt I see she has also realized it isn't the sound of a helicopter either. We go to the windows and push the curtains aside to see what is making that noise. I immediately know what it is once I see it. It is the Fantastic Four car. A feat of engineering and science created by none other than Mr. Fantastic himself Reed Richards. A flying car that can actually separate into multiple sections that all can fly. The first thing that comes to my mind is what are the Fantastic Four doing here.
