"Sports festival!?"
The students of class 1A stared at their homeroom teacher, heads abuzz with confusion.
"But Aizawa-sensei! Will the sports festival still be held? I mean, the mastermind is still not arrested, right? What if they attack during the event again?"
"That's precisely why the festival must go on. It's a necessary demonstration to show UA is not afraid."
Noticing the frown on some of their faces, Aizawa added:
"We've planned to increase the security by five times compared to last year- so you don't have to worry about villains sneaking in. Instead, you should worry about yourselves."
"The upcoming UA sports festival is one of the three opportunities you'll have to showcase yourselves before you graduate. People all over Japan will watch, including pro heroes and their agencies. If you perform well, you can get scouted directly into a top ranking hero agency after graduation. So if you're hoping to become a hero, this is an event you can't miss."
Hiro noticed the atmosphere in class suddenly became heated at the mention of being scouted, their previous worry about the villain attack having been forgotten.
Even Mina, who had been frowning earlier, now had her eyes lighting up in anticipation.
After that, Aizawa talked about a few more things regarding the sports festival before the first period ended.
The classes after were the same ordinary high school courses as usual, and soon, it was lunch time.
"Man, the UA sports festival, huh? I didn't expect I'd participate in it myself one day."
"Dude, same. I'm just worried I'd make a fool of myself after…you know."
Kaminari shrugged, making Hiro and the others chuckle.
His Quirk, Electrification, short-circuits his brain if he outputs too much power. This makes him act like an idiot until he recovers. Getting broadcasted to the whole of Japan in that state- it can be considered a form of public execution.
"Well, at least you have a clear direction on what to train before the sports festival. Oh, that reminds me! We could totally turn our study session this weekend for training instead! What do you think, Yaomomo?"
Mina said, turning to the black-haired girl who contemplated for a moment before nodding.
"Indeed. In fact, we can also invite everyone in class together. With more people, I'm sure everyone can further help each other."
"I don't mind. As class president, many in class should also agree if you propose it, Momo-chan."
Asui said. The others on the table also agreed, though Hiro did notice a frown flash across Mina's face. It quickly returned to normal though, and said girl also expressed her support.
Hiro thought, and guessed that the reason for her reaction was that their friends-only outing had turned into a class activity. But with Mina's personality, would something like that really bother her?
"Splendid! I'll announce it to the class later. With this, I'm certain everyone in 1A can perform better at the festival!"
Momo's eyes sparkled as she cheerfully said. She didn't seem to notice Mina's reaction, and Hiro wasn't interested in reminding her either. It was just a small matter anyway.
The rest of the day quickly passed.
After the last afternoon class ended, Momo stopped everyone from leaving and told them about the weekend training leading up to the sports festival.
Some, like Bakugo, brushed it off as useless. But most saw the benefit of said extra training and expressed their agreement to come.
"By the way, where are we training, Yaoyorozu-san?"
"I plan to ask Aizawa-sensei for permission to use school facilities. If that's not allowed, we can also train at my residence."
"Your residence…? But man, going to school on the weekends? I guess that's how hardcore one must be to become a hero!"
"Yoshaa!!! Let's train and crush everyonee!!!"
"Who are you and what have you done with Uraraka!?"
Hiro laughed as Mina's face contorted in shock. Kirishima and Uraraka ignored her. They pumped their fists upwards and continued to shout encouragement to the entire class.
Pro Hero, huh?
Although he didn't know how My Hero Academia originally ended, in this world, he'd make sure Shigaraki and All For One won't remain in the future. Without the two main antagonists, his classmates should have a much smoother path to achieving their dreams. Consider that his parting gift for them.
—
Three weeks quickly passed and today was finally the day of the UA sports festival.
Except for the added training every Saturday, his schedule remained about the same as before. However, there were a few things that were worth mentioning.
Firstly, until now, he still wasn't called over regarding Kurogiri's death. He was sure that guy was dead. But possibly to protect his mental health, hero career, or something else, the school hadn't informed nor talked to him about it.
Secondly, regarding the side effects of his Quirk. He had expected the school to find an alternative method for him, which he will 'obediently' follow until he leaves this world. But no, he was wrong.
Instead of stopping his sexual escapades, the school did the opposite.
For the past three weekends, Midnight introduced him to three willing women whose appearance, background, and values had supposedly passed the standards.
In short, the school became his pimp.
These two incidents combined together- it began to form a blurry picture in his mind about what the school, or more specifically Principal Nezu, wanted from him.
"Hiro-nii! Hiro-nii! Look! It's Mt. Lady! I saw her on TV yesterday!"
Hiro's hand darted forward and quickly pulled Riki, who had begun to run off.
"What did I say about behaving yourselves?"
"T-that…I'm sorry, Hiro-nii. I promise I won't do it again."
Keeping to his promise, Hiro brought the children to the UA sports festival. Shara and the older kids came along too, though he had persuaded them to go away and enjoy themselves first while he took care of the younger children.
They may be older, but they were still just kids. They also have the right to have fun, especially since this was also their first time at the UA sports festival.
"Hmm, good. Now let's go greet her. Together."
Hiro said, glancing at the blond haired heroine in the distance who was trying to charm a vendor for free food.
…that kind of hero, should he really let the children come near her?
Surprisingly, Mt. Lady became much gentler when Hiro greeted her with the little kids. She bent down and met them at eye level, patiently signing her signature at the little notebooks they brought along as she inquired their names.
When everyone's finished, the children and Hiro thanked her in unison, with Hiro even buying her some of the snacks from the stall she was trying to get free samples of.
After that, they went to various other festival stands and obtained the signature of more heroes until the program was about to start. It was only then that Hiro handed the younger children over to Shara and the others.
"Good luck, Hiro-nii! I'll cheer for you the loudest!"
"No, me!"
"H-Hiro-oniichan. Do your best!"
"Hahaha, thank you for cheering me on. I'll look forward to it. In return, your Hiro-nii will show you something amazing later."
Hiro gently smiled as the children excitedly discussed what he would show them. He stood, watching their figures enter the gate one by one, waving again when some of them turned back.
Finally, when they all disappeared, the smile on his face dropped and he calmly headed alone towards the preparation room.
During the entrance exam interview, he wasn't entirely lying. Watching the kids look on enviously at other children when he came to pick them up- that was really uncomfortable.
But after today, he'd make sure that wouldn't happen again.
