Chapter 12 - chapter 12: refining the world’s heart

But before that, Kael's had something to do. He sat for a moment, then slowly opened the door of his room and went down to Silvia's room.

"Silvia," he said in a calm yet icy voice as he stopped in front of the door.

Silvia, who had heard her name, immediately stood up and opened the door, a charming smile on her face.

"Good evening, young master Kael's. To what do I owe your visit?"

Kael's stared at her coldly, his eyes shining with a sharp, almost cutting neutrality.

"Did you buy what I asked you to?"

Surprised by this distant, emotionless tone, Silvia forced a smile, hiding her slight uneasiness.

"Yes… I bought them."

She then took two different rings out of her portable space and gently placed them in Kael's hand.

"In these two rings is everything you asked for."

She paused, her gaze serious.

"Moreover, I took the liberty of buying embryos of magical artifacts corresponding to the 3,000 main Daos instead of real magical artifacts, since I didn't know what type of items you wanted. They are evolutionary items, capable of growing together with their master."

Kael's looked at Silvia for a moment longer in silence, then took the two rings. Without a word, he turned around and went back up to his room, his footsteps echoing softly in the corridor.

Silvia remained standing in the doorway, her eyes fixed on his retreating figure.

The young master… she thought, heart tightening. He has changed. He's become colder… more mysterious. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing…

Slowly, she closed the door, as if she were afraid to break the silence that followed Kael's.

Once in his room, Kael's closed the door behind him and locked the latch. Silence immediately filled the space, heavy and oppressive. The light from the corridor barely filtered through the cracks, but he paid it no mind.

He sat on his bed, placed the two rings before him, and looked at them for a long time. He then stored them inside his portable space, took the divine headset, and lay down on his bed.

When he put the headset on, he felt as if wrapped in fog and was teleported to another territory of time and space. He looked around and saw nothing but a void stretching into infinity.

It seems my reasoning was correct, he thought. There are no other worlds around mine.

He looked once more before teleporting into the world he had created. Upon arriving in his world, he looked around and said:

"It seems the eight maps are not finished yet. That's good—it will make my task easier."

He then took the two rings out of his portable space, teleported, and arrived in the only world existing within the vast chaos. He looked around and saw a desolate world stretching as far as the eye could see.

Kael's descended and began to explore his world in depth. He also took the time to plant several spiritual roots in key locations of the world and created secret realms containing the embryos of magical items. He only stopped after a hundred years, when he reached the border of the world.

Kael's looked at the end of the world and saw the protective formation shielding the world from the energy of chaos and said:

"You could say this world is rather large. I didn't notice it from the outside, but after traveling through it, I find it somewhat big. If size alone were the criterion to reach the divine realm, I would have become a god long ago.

Because if I'm not mistaken, this world alone spans one to a hundred superclusters, not to mention the chaos outside. If we judged only by size, this world would be equal to a small world, since according to my calculations, it measures 13 billion light-years."

He continued to observe for a moment, then teleported to the center of the world, to the world's heart, where the Seed of Law had already merged with it. He took hold of the world's heart, feeling as though he were swimming in an ocean of laws, sat down, and began refining the world's heart.

A few years passed away, and Kael's awakened from his cultivation, he smiled slightly, and said, "Now that I've finished refining the heart of the world, my world is finally complete."

Kael's then examined his condition, and after observing himself he was stunned. He realized that his strength had increased more than tenfold.

Moreover, he could now feel everything that happened within the world — one could even say that he was the world, and that everything within it was a part of him. It could now truly be said that he was worthy of the title of Creator.

He also had the sensation of gaining new insights into the laws with every passing second

"So this is the perspective of a creator…" Kael's murmured.

Yet even in this moment of ascension, his expression remained calm. There was no arrogance in his eyes, only clarity and cold determination. He knew this was not the end, merely a foundation.

Suddenly, the world trembled.

At the boundary of the world, the protective formation shimmered violently as chaotic energy from the outside surged forward, testing its limits.

Normally, such turbulence would have required complex calculations and reinforcement—but now, Kael's merely lifted his gaze.

With a single thought, the laws of the world responded.

The chaotic energy was instantly dissolved, transformed into pure origin essence and absorbed back into the world itself. The world did not weaken from the chaos—it grew stronger

Kael's eyes narrowed slightly then he said.

Kael's then said, "Hm… it seems I can use the energy of chaos to strengthen the world's foundation. However, I won't be able to use this method often.

The rate at which void energy is transformed into chaos energy is not fast enough to sustain such absorption. I'll put this aside for now—besides, I have something more important to do at the moment."

Then Kael's teleported himself with a single thought into, A remote region of the chaos, very close to the void.
