The exceptionally fluffy, ash-gray strands of fine rabbit fur, which were originally engineered and specifically designed to retain water and glide effortlessly across the textured surface of canvas paper, were now actively and greedily absorbing every single ounce of the scorching, feverish heat radiating from Julian Sterling's bare skin. He subtly and expertly rotated the smooth pine wood handle of the brush firmly between his long fingers, causing the soft tip of the brush, which was previously busy drawing wide, teasing circles on the outer edges, to agonizingly slowly narrow the agonizing distance, inching ever so closely toward the highly sensitive, tightly drawn central core.
