Knock knock knock!
"Yes?" I said without moving from my comfy bed, still grabbing my favourite Harry Potter story. "Lil sis, can you open the door first?" said Ariadne, who is behind the door.
I put my book down, then got up to reach the door. "What's wrong, Ariadne?" I asked, and when the door opened, a late teenage girl wearing cargo pants and a white T-shirt handed me a plate of birthday cakes. "Here is your share, grandma asked me to give it to you since you didn't come to her birthday party." Ariadne smiles. "I know you couldn't forgive that one aunt, but you can at least wish our grandma a happy birthday," she pats my shoulder, then goes back to her room beside mine.
Sigh...
I sank on my bed, thinking how similar that one aunt was to Harry Potter's aunt. They were both equally bad....
Whatever, I'll just gonna continue reading though. I grabbed the book from the corner of the bed and adjusted my sitting position. "Hmm... where were we?" I muttered while turning the page.
After hours of reading, I finally finished the seventh book. People said that the book is more exciting than the commercial movies. So, after watching the first movie, I immediately switched to the novel. Of course, I also watched the movies, it's fun when I know something that was only mentioned in the Novels.

A few days after that.
Today I was the only one left in our family house. My parents went on holiday to Lucky Bay in Australia for their umpteenth honeymoon, and Ariadna went on a study tour with her college friends to Amsterdam. I'm already fourteen, so I am old enough to be left alone in our own house. It's not like I don't have any plan at all, I want to watch TV all night long with no one nagging at me. After preparing a big bowl of popcorn, I went straight to the couch and put my feet on the table, "finally I can do this," I said with satisfaction. I leaned against the back of the couch, then started pressing the buttons on the TV remote.
While I was engrossed in watching a cartoon series, someone rang the doorbell. Just in case, I peeked through the peephole, and a woman in stylish clothing was standing there playing something that looked like a game console. After I'm sure that she is harmless, I opened the door.
Click!
"Hello ma'am, what can I help with?"
"Oh, Hello! Are you by any chance Yurie?" She asked excitedly as she put her game console into her small sling bag.
I nodded, "um... yes. Sorry, but... who are you, ma'am?"
"Good! fyi I TOTALLY am not a bad person," she said with an emphasis on one of her words. "The name is Rosette Watkins. I'm your father's youngest sibling alive."
"What do you mean aliv-!"
"Shhhh...!" she put her index finger to my lips, "No, darling... no more details about that. I come here just to give you something and bring you somewhere magical," she said as she pulled our heads closer.
"Alright, enough with the small talk. Here, your invitation," she handed me a letter with a dove-patterned wax stamp. I averted my gaze from the letter I received to Rosette repeatedly, after she signaled that I could read it, I carefully opened the letter.
"Phaloma Academy? What is that? There's nothing like that in England, right?" I'm confused, it's not like Harry Potter's story is actually real...
"Okay, let's get going now. You will know about that later."
"What-, NO! I'm not going! What if you're lying to me, miss?" I slowly walked backward, preparing myself to run from this suspicious woman. When she's off guard, I quickly turn around, but alas, she easily carries me to her van on her shoulders.
" WHAT THE-!!, HEY! LET ME GOOOOOO!!!" I hit her back as hard as I could, "SOMEONE!! ANYONE! HELP!!!"
BAM!
She locked me inside.
Some minutes later...
My feelings tell me to keep quiet,
"Don't mock me, just laugh." I crossed my arms. My feeling is really a mess right now. How can they just willingly give me, their daughter, to someone I just met for the first time? This whole tragedy is crazy.
This woman, who claims to be my 'aunt', is strong enough to carry me on her shoulders. Who knows what she might do if she gets annoyed by my resistance?
"Excuse me, miss... Rosette... can you prove that you are not lying about being my dad's sister...? I said hesitantly but firmly.
"Just ask him yourself, here."
carefully I press the numbers on her smartphone she just gave me.
The phone connected, "Hello?"
I swallowed hard; there was no doubt it was my father's voice. "Hello dad, so ..." I tell him the full story and ask if 'she' really is his sister.
He laughed, "So it's already the time, huh? sorry kid, me and your mom forgot to tell you something. Maybe Rosette already told you about the invitation letter, but let me tell you in case you don't understand yet, you will have to go to the school somewhere faraway.... just that. you have to be a good girl and follow the instruction, Rosette maybe weird, but not evil enough to eat people. bye my lil girl, don't forget to call us sometimes"
he hangs up.
