Nature-Man: Auxiliary Volume

Purpose of This Volume

This auxiliary volume contains background information, lore, character insights, and thematic explanations related to Nature-Man. These chapters are not part of the main storyline, but they are designed to help readers deeply understand the world, powers, characters, and philosophies that shape the series.

Readers may explore this volume before, during, or after reading the main story. It is intended as a living reference that grows alongside the narrative.

🌍 World & Setting

Nature-Man takes place in a modern world that appears ordinary on the surface—cities, schools, technology, routines. Beneath that surface, however, lies an ancient natural realm woven through forests, roots, and forgotten lands.

Nature is not passive.

It is alive, conscious, and selective.

It observes humanity, remembers its choices, and—when necessary—chooses guardians to protect balance.

Hidden Realms Beneath Civilization

Unknown to most of humanity, several layers of reality exist beneath the world:

Ancient Forest Sanctuaries – Sacred regions where nature energy is pure and undisturbed. These places serve as spiritual anchors for the planet.

Corruption Zones – Areas where balance has collapsed. Nature withers, time distorts, and corruption spreads aggressively.

Spirit Groves – Intersections between the physical world and nature consciousness, often used for trials, visions, or awakening.

Underground Root Realms – Vast subterranean networks formed by primordial roots older than human civilization. These realms store memories, pain, and forgotten history.

The stability of the world depends on the balance between Nature and Corruption. When that balance is disrupted, disasters are not accidents—they are consequences.

🌱 Power System (No Spoilers)

Power in Nature-Man is not simply a weapon—it is a reflection of intent, emotion, and choice.

Nature Energy

A life-based force connected to growth, healing, protection, and balance

Flows through forests, living beings, and ancient sanctuaries

Responds to harmony, compassion, and responsibility

Can strengthen, restore, or restrain—but rarely destroys outright

Corruption Energy

A distorted force born from greed, fear, obsession, and forbidden rituals

Thrives on imbalance, resentment, and unresolved pain

Grants immense destructive power at the cost of stability and self-control

Always demands something in return

Hybrid Existence

Extremely rare beings capable of holding both Nature and Corruption energy

Hybrids exist in constant internal conflict

Their power fluctuates based on emotional state

Loss of control can cause catastrophic consequences

Power reacts strongly to emotion. Fear, anger, love, or hesitation can drastically alter outcomes.
