Chapter 5 - Night Deity

"This dream is really strange."

Ju Qiongqiong frowned and shook his head in confusion. Olivia floated silently in the air beside him—no comment, no gesture.

He stepped into the huge hospital building. He walked along the corridor and turned towards the ward area. There was an unusual silence all around, a silence that sounded not to the ears but to the mind. Olivia was still silent, as if deliberately saving all explanations for the future.

He stopped suddenly when he reached the entrance to the ward area.

"This place… is different now."

Ju Qingqiong muttered to himself, looking at the dark and monotonous corridor ahead.

He clearly remembered that this hospital had multiple floors in his memory. Although the facilities were not advanced, the environment was clean and orderly. But now, in front of him was only one floor. And on that floor—only five rooms.

The five doors were covered with strange symbols and intricate designs. Each design was superimposed on the other, like a multilayer seal. With just a glance, his head spun slightly.

Ju Qingqiong forced his gaze away. He took a deep breath and steadied himself.

An old-fashioned signboard hung in the upper right corner of the ward. A separate sign for each room. The first room he stood in front of had a large black circle painted on its door—unusually perfect, yet empty.

The sign for the second room looked like a cane and a pen intertwined together.

Along the corridor As he walked, he reached the end. He stopped at the sixth room—but there were no rooms there. It was as if the corridor itself had suddenly ended. There was no logical sequence of room numbers.

He looked back at the doors. An uncomfortable pressure built up in his chest.

This mental hospital—not the ordinary hospital he remembered. The name hinted at it… Could it be that only ancient Domenars were imprisoned here?

He hesitated for a moment. Then he slowly reached out to the door handle of the fifth ward.

He wasn't reckless. On the one hand, this was a dream world—even if it was wrong, it wasn't supposed to affect the real body. But in his subconscious mind, he had a clear feeling that he had some secret connection with this hospital.

As his fingertips gently touched the handle, a cool feeling spread throughout his hand.

No repulsion. No pain. The handle was grasped naturally.

Ju Qingqiong pulled hard.

The door didn't budge.

He gritted his teeth and pulled again—with all his might.

Nothing happened.

With a deep breath, he went to the fourth ward. He pulled.

Closed.

Third.

Second.

All the doors were equally silent.

Finally, he stood in front of the first ward.

With a slight sense of disappointment and certain failure, he suddenly knocked on the door.

"Snap—!"

A soft but clear sound came.

The intricate designs carved on the door cracked and crumbled, and slowly disappeared into thin air—as if they had never been there.

Ju Qiongqiong was startled and took a few steps back, unable to take his eyes off it for a moment.

The door had opened.

Of the five wards, only the first one was able to be opened.

Is this the only door that is designated as "openable?" Olivia, who was next to him, did not feel the need to say anything, and she was walking away.

So, do I need to increase my strength before opening the second, third, fourth, and fifth wards?

Ju Qiongqiong was uncertain, and he did not have time to think about it right now.

Because right before his eyes, the door of the ward that was once sealed was slowly opening.

The ward was small and dimly lit. There was a chair in the middle of the ward, and a woman dressed in black sat on it, with star-studded details, staring blankly ahead.

Apart from this person and a chair, there was nothing else in the dimly lit room.

Ju Qiongqiong walked carefully towards the door, thought for a moment, then gave a formal smile, and waved at the woman inside.

"Hello, Ju Qingqiong." He also introduced Olivia.

No matter who she is, it's always good to be polite. As the saying goes, you can't speak with a smile. If you're polite, even if she's an ancient domainer, she probably won't do anything difficult for you.

However, Ju Qingqiong's face froze in a smile, while the woman in black remained still like a statue.

Ju Qingqiong gritted her teeth and walked straight into the room.

The moment she stepped into the room, a line of writing suddenly appeared on the wall behind the woman in black.

"

Ward 1.

Patient: Ann

Task: Help An treat her mental illness. When the treatment progress reaches a certain value (1%, 50%, 100%), you can randomly extract some of An's abilities.

Current treatment progress: 0%

"

"An?" Ju Qingqiong gasped when he saw the words on the wall! Olivia, who was sitting next to him, said for the first time in the hospital, "An, this name seems familiar to me. But where did I hear it,...."

Then Olivia shouted, "So, is this seemingly shocked woman in front of you the famous Goddess of the Night?"

With a cold and elegant temperament, a perfect appearance, and smooth black hair flowing down her back like a waterfall, her black star-studded dress was as deep as the night, making her fair skin look as tender and flawless as snow-covered snow.

Although her eyes were lifeless, the aura she exuded as she sat there was beyond a human's ability to contain.

Even the empresses who had existed in history could not compare to her.

"Ann, she is a deity and an empress ." Olivia said.

The Empress of the Night!

She carefully observed Ann with her hand on her chin. She had seen God with her own eyes, and compared to the seraphim of the moon, she always felt that Ann lacked something.

Divinity? Power? Authority?

Or are they all too few?.

But you should know, this is a god!

A god standing at the very pinnacle of mythology!

How could she be sick?

Did her illness occur naturally, or… due to human intervention?

Ju Qingqiong didn't believe that it was naturally occurring, but if it was man-made… then Ju Qingqiong didn't know what kind of entity could make the goddess of the night sick.

Moreover, it was a mental illness.

If the writing on the wall was true, then Ju Qingqiong would now have to try to cure An's illness, but what exactly was wrong with her?

As a former "mental patient," Ju Qingqiong knew a little about mental illness. Generally speaking, it could be divided into depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, paranoia, etc.

In order to treat An's, we first need to determine what exactly she had.

Ju Qingqiong thought for a moment, then sat down in front of An's face and waved his hand in front of her eyes.

"Can you hear me?" Ju Qingqiong whispered in An's ear.

Suddenly, An's body trembled, startling Ju Qiongqiong, who instinctively took a few steps back! Olivia didn't react.

Immediately after, An's head turned towards Ju Qiongqiong, his empty eyes staring straight at him!

Ju Qiongqiong swallowed hard, not daring to move.

One second, two seconds, three seconds…

Just when Lin Qie felt his scalp tingling from looking at Ann's, Ann's expression changed.

From blank stare to confusion

From doubt to shock,

From shock to tears!

An's body was trembling slightly, tears were rolling down her eyes, and she was able to open her lips with great difficulty.

She held her breath for a long time.

Hoarse voice:

"I finally found you... my child. I saved you. !!"

At that moment, Ju Qiongqiong felt a surge of electricity from the soles of his feet to his brain, causing his mind to go blank from shock!

Her?

Me?

The child?

Um??

My mother should have been, maybe, a human.

Not the Goddess of the Night.

No, if...

Wait a minute! This otherworldly Goddess of the Night can speak fluent Chinese!

Oh, okay, it was in my dream. It's no wonder I understood the language of God... Maybe it's a brain wave transmission signal?

Just as Ju Qiongqiong was lost in thought, An stood up, opened his arms, and walked towards Ju Qionqiong !

He ran faster, his expression becoming increasingly excited!

At this moment, Ju Qingqiong's mind was completely chaotic. He subconsciously opened his arms, wanting to accept the embrace of the goddess of the night!

However,

The goddess of the night Ju Qingqiong ran past.

She hugged Ju Qingqiong tightly...

A small vase on the windowsill behind.

An held the vase tightly, tears streaming down her face. "My child... you are still alive! I finally found you!"

Ju Qingqiong:...? ? ?

Then, An's gaze fell on the chair where she had been sitting for who knows how long.

After a moment of stunned silence,

She rushed forward, hugged the chair and the vase, and cried again!

"Amen my child, then you have been here all this time!!"

The hapless Ju Qingqiong stood like a statue, watching helplessly as Ann recognized the vase, chair, wall, and air as her children, and her heart wept.

Ju Qingqiong: I think I know what her problem is...

She's quite sick...

Then Olivia whispered in her ear, "I think she's not completely the goddess of the night. If she had a mental problem, this moon and night would have collapsed."

Ju Qingqiong guessed, "Is this part of her feelings? That she has abandoned."

Olivia said, "Yes, it's possible."
