Chapter 137 - Chapter 138: An Unfamiliar World… Mobius?

"So… Vya sis, where are we?"

Little Dudu pressed herself tightly against Vya's side, a hint of fear in her voice as she cautiously surveyed their surroundings. Vya had just taken her true form over and used it to slice open some kind of space. After a dizzying whirl, they'd ended up in this eerie place…

It was pitch black all around, with sporadic points of green light flickering in the distance. Everything about it felt wrong and unsettling.

"Vya doesn't know~"

Vya shook her head, her expression showing no trace of fear, only curiosity.

Hearing this, Little Dudu quickly pressed on, "Then how do we get back?"

"Hmm, we can go back whenever we want," Vya said lightly, as if returning was the simplest thing in the world.

And indeed, it was.

Upon hearing this, Little Dudu was overjoyed. "Great, great! Let's go back then! This place looks awful, all gloomy and creepy."

"No, no, no."

Vya waved her hand, her attitude firm. She had specifically wanted to come here. Amidst the recent spatial turbulence, she had caught a glimpse of a striking green light within this spatial unit. The color was quite familiar, reminding her of certain people, yet it was also different. So, Vya had really wanted to see what it was.

And then she had come.

"Ah, why not?" Little Dudu looked baffled, unable to see what was worth looking at in this pitch-black place.

"Vya wants to see what's here," Vya's tone was serious, her eyes filled with anticipation.

"This… alright then." Little Dudu sighed in resignation. After their time together, she knew all too well that she couldn't change Vya's mind. She could only tag along on this adventure.

"Okay then, let the exploration begin!"

Vya announced with a laugh, then skipped off ahead.

Little Dudu hastily fluttered her wings to catch up, calling out as she went, "Hey, wait for me! Don't run so fast!"

Not long after they ran off, in a dark corner not far from where they had been, two beams of green light suddenly flickered to life in the darkness. They glowed faintly, like the eyes of some creature…

The green lights shimmered in the dark a few times, then silently vanished, as if nothing had happened at all.

Vya led Little Dudu onward, the source of that green light ahead. It seemed close, yet after walking for a long time, it felt distant, always separated by some gap.

At first, Vya was quite excited, because every so often the path beneath their feet would rise, becoming a higher platform. But before long, it would feel like they were descending again, back to the original level.

Up and down, up and down, repeating who knows how many times.

"Vya sis, how long are we going to keep walking?" Little Dudu fluttered her wings. Although, as a sword, she didn't get tired, this repetitive walking was utterly boring.

The ground beneath felt smooth and unusually hard, producing a light tapping sound when knocked. Looking from near to far, they could initially make out some blurry outlines, but these were soon swallowed by the thick darkness, leaving nothing visible.

Vya stopped, thought for a moment, and said, "Hmm, you're right. If we keep walking, who knows how much time we'll waste. Let's just fly then!"

Little Dudu perked up. "Ah, I thought we were going back?"

Vya paid no mind to her disappointment. With a light leap into the air, a pair of delicate, wind-like wings sprouted from her back, shimmering with a faint pink light. She beat her wings and continued flying toward that patch of green.

Now it was clear. That green light was not far below them.

"Vya sis, slow down! I can't keep up!" Little Dudu shouted frantically from behind. No matter how fast her little wings flapped, she couldn't match the speed of Vya's wind-wings.

"Hurry up and catch up."

Vya glanced back, reached out, and grabbed the pursuing Little Dudu. Then, she executed a familiar move—the Vya Impact!

Instantly, a streak of pink light tore through the darkness, illuminating the surroundings. Thanks to the incredible speed, the pink light left a beautiful, arcing trail in the dark sky, like a fleeting meteor.

"Made it!"

Vya landed steadily on the ground, still holding a rather dazed Little Dudu, who had been buffeted by the wind.

"Ah… Vya sis, what exactly is here?" Little Dudu shook her head, feeling as if she'd just experienced an exciting yet disorienting spatial jump. Even without physical senses, she felt a bit 'dizzy.'

Vya didn't answer. She simply gazed quietly at the scene before her, where the source of the green light resided. She walked forward slowly, her body naturally emitting a soft glow that illuminated the surroundings—she herself was the light source.

The object before them looked like a wall?

A dark green wall that seemed to have existed there for an eternity.

Of course, it only looked like a wall. No one knew what it truly was.

Vya stretched out her small hand and gently tapped the wall, using a bit of force.

Suddenly, a sound emanated from within the thick wall, as if Vya had triggered some long-sealed mechanism.

Vya quickly grabbed Little Dudu and flew upward.

The wall before them began to rise slowly like an automatic door. The wall structures on either side stretched into the unseen distance, as if trying to cleave the entire darkness apart. Under the illumination of Vya's glow, it was clear that the interior of the wall was made of a transparent, glass-like substance…

It was vast, and similarly extended into the darkness.

Little Dudu stared, dumbfounded, instinctively hiding behind Vya and muttering softly, "Whoa… what is this?"

Vya shook her head. "Don't know."

Just then, an ill-timed, hoarse voice rang out from below them, tinged with impatience: "...Turn off that light!"

Vya looked down. All she could see was a mass of blurry flesh slowly oozing up from the ground, writhing as if alive, gradually coalescing into a humanoid shape.

Vya focused her gaze. The figure had striking green hair, a tall build, and was completely naked.

But in Vya's eyes, this appearance bore some resemblance to Mobius.

However, as everyone knows, Vya doesn't really look at faces when observing people; she looks at the light they emit. And that intriguing green light she had seen earlier was now clearly emanating from this person before her.

This light was similar to Mobius's, yet completely different, carrying a more ancient feel…

So, holding Little Dudu, Vya slowly descended to the ground, tilted her little face up, and asked, "Sister, who are you?"

The person didn't answer her question, only frowning, her tone growing more impatient: "Didn't you hear me? I told you to turn off the light!"

The originally hoarse voice now became clear and sharp, like nails on glass, causing discomfort.

"Oh, Vya understands."

Vya obediently dimmed her own light, plunging the surroundings back into darkness.

She continued asking, "But why? It's so dark here. Dudu can't see anything without a light."

Seeing Vya turn off the light, the green-haired woman seemed to calm down slightly. She slowly walked over to Vya. Only then could Vya see clearly: her hair was very long, falling just enough to cover the essential areas, so it wasn't exactly indecent.

Vya only came up to just above her leg, which was rather rude.
