Noel stared at him.
Cedric Ashford, standing in the middle of a stationery shop, looked like he had somewhere more important to be but had chosen to be here instead. He was dressed sharply — dark coat, white cravat, white gloves still on.
Noel glanced at Alaric and Alaric was already looking at him.
They both looked back at Cedric, confused.
Cedric walked forward. He didn't look at Rowan. Not even a glance.
Rowan bowed anyway, out of respect and of course, he was meant to.
"Dr Ashford."
Cedric lifted one hand — a brief, dismissive wave — and stopped in front of Noel.
"Hello, Noel! I need to speak with you," he said.
Noel tilted his head. He didn't know that Cedric had come for him. Well, it's not like Cedric was close to either of his brothers, still, he wasn't expecting it.
"How important is it? I have to get to the company with my brother and—"
"Noel has somewhere important to be. If you have something to say to him. Make an appointment like a normal person would."
