"We're here to deal with the Antimatter Legion. More importantly, shouldn't you be worrying about March 7th right now?"
Only then did Himeko look back toward March 7th. At that moment, March had already drawn her bow and released the power of Six-Phased Ice toward the Doomsday Beast.
However, the iron dragon easily deflected the attack. Immediately afterward, the Doomsday Beast fired a golden energy beam straight at her.
"March!" Himeko shouted in panic. Dan Heng rushed forward at once, but a streak of dark-red lightning shot past him even faster.
Boom!
With a thunderous explosion of crimson lightning, Tetsuya appeared in front of March 7th, blocking the Doomsday Beast's attack by forming a lightning-based barrier.
"So fast…" Dan Heng's pupils shrank slightly.
"Tetsuya?" March 7th snapped back to her senses and stared at the broad back standing in front of her.
"Yeah. Get up and let's take down this pile of scrap together," Tetsuya said as red lightning crackled around his body.
"Roar!" The Doomsday Beast roared in fury after its attack was blocked. Its entire body glowed as massive energy gathered at its core.
Using fragments of the Dusk Leviathan as its foundation and the wailing bones of countless dead from the Warforge as its agents, the Antimatter Legion created the Doomsday Beast. The irrational obsessions of vengeful spirits became tangible hands, and the shadow of ancient catastrophe concealed the sky.
The Doomsday Beast carried the will of all restless, unextinguished beings. Rage, lamentation, or delusional joy, everything was laid bare, and all evil pulsed with intensity. At its core lay a dark-matter engine.
"Erza, help me attack that thing. Tsunade, heal anyone who gets injured first."
"Yes."
"Got it."
Tsunade nodded without complaint. As a medical ninja, healing was her duty, even though her physical strength was also tremendous. Meanwhile, Erza had already drawn her sword and stood beside Tetsuya.
"Roar!"
The Doomsday Beast's colossal claw slammed downward with an imaginary force that seemed capable of shaking an entire planet. Tetsuya remained calm, blocking the blow with a lightning barrier charged with hundreds of thousands of volts.
He then grasped pure crimson lightning formed from his ability, wielding it like a spear, and hurled it straight at the Doomsday Beast's core. The power exploded with searing heat and electricity, forcing the beast back.
Erza surged forward and struck one of the Doomsday Beast's claws with her sword at full power. In response, the beast fired dozens of golden light beams, all precisely targeting Erza alone.
"Tsk." Erza clicked her tongue and retreated at full speed.
Tetsuya immediately stepped in to support her, rushing toward the Doomsday Beast and unleashing one powerful lightning-based attack after another. Yet no matter how many times Tetsuya and Erza attacked, the Doomsday Beast seemed indestructible.
Who exactly were these people? They were unbelievably strong. Himeko, Dan Heng, and Stelle all thought the same as they watched the battle unfold. Tsunade, having finished healing the injured, also rushed in to assist.
After being saved by Tetsuya, March 7th opened the chat group.
…
[March 7th: Wow! Tetsuya is fighting the Doomsday Beast, and he's incredibly strong!]
[Shinobu: What's happening? What's going on? Doomsday Beast? What is the Doomsday Beast?]
[Saeko: Doomsday? That doesn't sound good at all.]
[Hancock: Is the battle that intense?]
[March 7th: The Doomsday Beast is a HUGE monster!]
[Saeko: Why doesn't March start a livestream and let everyone see it?]
[March 7th: Oh! You're right!]
[March 7th has started a livestream!]
[Saeko has joined the livestream!]
[Hancock has joined the livestream!]
[Shinobu has joined the livestream!]
…
Instantly, the three of them saw the battle from March 7th's perspective. A fierce fight was unfolding, Tetsuya, Erza, and Tsunade versus the Doomsday Beast, which looked incredibly difficult to destroy.
[Shinobu: This is terrifying! Is this the Doomsday Beast? Demons are nothing compared to this, even Muzan wouldn't survive!]
[Hancock: It's enormous, like a Sea King. But its body is made of metal.]
[Saeko: Tetsuya-kun is fighting something like this? Can he and the others really defeat it?]
Everyone was worried. Even though Tetsuya, Erza, and Tsunade were unleashing relentless attacks, they couldn't kill the Doomsday Beast. It had no blood or brain, and Tetsuya couldn't manipulate bioelectricity within it, because there was none. Although it looked like a white-and-blue dragon-shaped machine, it wasn't powered by electricity, so Tetsuya couldn't control it.
At best, Tetsuya could manipulate the electricity in the surroundings of Herta Space Station, but doing so might cause serious collateral damage.
Physically, Tetsuya couldn't compare to the Doomsday Beast. However, by creating and manipulating lightning and electricity, he could easily block its attacks and deal damage. The real problem was delivering a fatal blow, killing or destroying it completely.
The Doomsday Beast's body itself wasn't the key. Even if a wing, leg, or arm was destroyed, it could continue fighting without issue. The core was its true power, and to defeat it, that machine core had to be destroyed.
Electrokinesis could manipulate all forms of lightning and electricity, including electromagnetic and bioelectric energy, but clearly, an antimatter engine core was beyond its scope. Even for Tetsuya, let alone Erza and Tsunade. Despite their incredible strength, they still couldn't destroy the Doomsday Beast's core.
Several attempts to break the core failed, whether through raw physical power or abilities. If they had enough time, Tetsuya might have been able to gradually dismantle the Doomsday Beast's body with Erza and Tsunade's help. But the mission time limit was only one hour, and a prolonged battle would endanger the people nearby and Herta Space Station itself.
Tetsuya frowned, recalling how this creature was defeated in the game's story. It was the protagonist, Stelle. His gaze shifted to the confused girl holding the baseball bat, who carried a Stellaron within her and had already drawn the attention of the Aeon of Destruction.
Realizing this, Tetsuya blocked another beam from the Doomsday Beast and shouted, "We can't kill it! The girl with the baseball bat is the key to destroying it!"
"You mean me?" Stelle blinked innocently. "But you can't even beat it, how could I possibly do it?"
Dan Heng, who had been observing the fight from the start, shook his head. "No. He can 'defeat' it, but he can't 'kill' it. The core can't be destroyed by ordinary power."
"That's right. The Stellaron inside you may be the key. It might be able to destroy the Doomsday Beast's core," Himeko said, understanding dawning on her face.
March 7th spoke anxiously, "Exactly! There's a Stellaron inside you! Why don't you try using its power to destroy the Doomsday Beast?"
"Alright… then I'll try," Stelle hesitated for a moment before obediently closing her eyes, attempting to communicate with the Stellaron within her.
