—{Guild Hall}—
Shirin rested her chin on her hand, her eyes fixed on Riven. He was slumped over the guild hall table, face buried in his arms.
Shirin: "Hey" She leaned forward, "Are you actually asleep?" She asked as she leaned forward a bit. Both elbows came to rest on the table as she smooths her hair with both hands.
Riven: He let out a "Mmmm, hmp" Noise, and didn't lift up his head to look towards Shirin. His hands covered his face. He rubs his face against his arm as he sinks deeper into his own embrace.
Shirin: She sighed, "Hey, aren't you gonna think of any other way to get this done with? What would you say to Jude if we quite this moment."
Riven: Few moments went by without any response from him, his breathing of his huffs were audible for Shirin as she could hear every breath he took. Then suddenly he sat up, leaned back on the chair with his eyes closed.
His body relaxed and slouched, then he opened his eyes to look at her. "Just tell him we quit. It's that simple." He sighed loudly.
"Tell him to look for someone else." He said as shook his hand at her. He blinked at her and tilted his head, "I'm no longer interested."
Seconds pass as their eyes lock into one another.
Shirin: "Tch"
Riven: Without missing a beat he lets out a chuckle. "Haaah."
He looks up at the reaction that flashed on her face. Her eyes stared into his, both arms on the table and her teeth were visible through the corner of her lips.
He lets out a funny sign. "You didn't think that I'd really give up, did you?" To which Shirin just shakes her head to a no.
"Oh, is that so? Um, you know me. Come on, let's go talk to Jude about it."
He didn't waste another second getting off of his seat, he stood there beside Shirin. She nods and gets up herself.
Shirin: "Let's go."
With that they walked out of the Guild. The Guild was situated in the near center of the city, where the main road networks cross by.
Behind them the guild stood tall with 2 main floors and another one just above. It was made of mainly yellow wood and with a few other colours that added to its texture. And a symbol carved at the very top of the Guild, made of gold.
The roads were made of dark smooth stone tiles, thick and durable enough to endure heavy attacks and wide enough for walks to walk and carts to ride by. Yet, there were a few tiny puddles. They weren't deep or wide spread but still present. The sides of the road, the footpaths were raised up just by a bit and had a lighter colour to them.
There was still a path of about 30 meters from the guild door to the gates that led their way to the streets. The empty ground around the guild was huge, they too had collected puddles in them.
—{After Exiting the Gate}—
On their way to Jude Shirin walked in front of Riven. Her boots clicked on the smooth stone of the footpath with her head raised high and straight. Riven was just a few steps behind her but his gaze wasn't constant and his eyes moved to the sounds around them moment by moment.
Shirin: For most of the walk she was silent and only her boots made sounds, until she talked. "Hey, Jude's isn't closed today, right?" She asked without turning back.
Riven: His eyes widened as he turned to look at her direction and only saw her hair. "Oh, um what day is it?"
Shirin: The moment he asked that a smirk formed on her lips. She cleared her throat, "It's the day when you saw that sniper woman."
She glanced back to look at what reaction Riven had to her answer and he looked like he regretted asking. To which she laughed. And his eyes twitched.
"Oh oh, look at you. Hey, are your cheeks warm right now?" She stopped on her tracks as she turned to him with a smirk on her face.
Riven: "Nan–ah yo business." He raised his hands up to her face that blocked her vision to see him.
Shirin: Smirk grew. "Probably warm."
Riven: "... Rustwood, right?" With a defensive voice.
Shirin: "Hmm, Rustwood what?"
Riven: "Her name you—... You're enjoying this aren't you!?"
Shirin: She couldn't hold back and burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. Her laugh was a bit louder than usual as some citizens turned their heads to her then went back to what they were doing.
Riven: His body only stiffened as he felt the gazes of the citizens on them. "Heyy, you trying to embarrass her."
Shirin: She calmed down, with her head looking down, "Was I loud enough?" She muttered in a low voice trying to hold a chuckle.
Riven: He leans in close to her. "You did that on purpose?"
She lets out another laugh. A lower and more silent one.
She calmed herself, "Hey, you still haven't answered me. Is he open today?"
—{To Jude}—
A man in green robe, white shirt and black trousers, with glasses on sat on a chair leaning back against the wall and his sock, feets crossed on the table. His eyes were closed with his arms crossed, his breath was low and steady. He had black hair in a curly top.
The room was dimly lit only illuminated with the sunlight that came through the window, covered with curtains. His table was clean and tidy… The middle part where his feet rested while the sides had stacks of papers and books. Some without covers… It wasn't all dark though…
His boots were on the floor, but not set properly and were at the corner of the room, beside his table. There was a mug, empty with the mug having thin lines on the outer and ring like pattern in the interior of stains on it. The stains were of brownish-yellow colour.
The door opened.
Two individuals walked in. One of them walked across the room and turned on the light switch… But the bulb above the table didn't turn on. They turned on another switch, still no light.
One of them sighed, "Seems like he hasn't paid the bills." A female voice.
"And he's asleep…" The other said, a male voice. "Or is he?"
Both individuals walked towards the sleeping man, when they stood next to the table the light coming from the window illuminated one's face. Shirin.
So the other ones Riven. Probably.
Riven: Pocked his shoulder, "Hey mister. Are you asleep…?" He leaned in close to his ear, "Are you…?" He backs off and glances towards Shirin.
Shirin: "..."
Riven: Shook his body, "Hey, wake up. We know you're not sleeping." shook his body harder and more violently.
Shirin smirked as she went to stand on the other side of him and also shook his body. With more violence.
Shirin: "Hey. Wake. Up." Said while laughing and hoping to not choke on herself.
Riven: "Jude!"
The man named Jude still didn't move a bit as he still slept.
Riven stopped, and stepped back. "I think he's really asleep…" Says as he looks up at Shirin.
Shirin: "Tch tch." Shook her head. "Never give up on your dreams, even if it means ruining the ones of others."
She shakes his body with more violence and the previously sleeping man lets out noises, "Hm, hump… Hmmmmm."
He opened his eyes.
Jude: "Oh, hey guys. When did you get here? Sorry I was sleeping…"
Both Shirin and Riven glanced at him then back at each other. Then back at the man with green eyes who was previously asleep and was violently woken up by two strangers.
Riven: "You weren't."
Shirin: She nods, "Improve your acting skills. You kinda suck."
Riven: "Yea"
Jude: Breaths in, "Aww
