Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: When the Apocalypse Took a Name

Yukanda was no longer a city.

It had become a living grave.

The clouds hanging over the sky looked as if an invisible hand had twisted them into madness. The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder, fear, and death. Every breath felt heavy, as if even the lungs knew there were only moments left.

The streets were jammed.

People were screaming.

Children were crying.

Bells and prayers echoed together from temples and churches alike.

And in the middle of it all—

Akuma stood.

His feet were planted on the ground,

yet his presence stretched all the way to the heavens.

The burning halo above his head was no longer a symbol of divinity.

It was a warning.

A verdict.

Countdown to Nuclear Death

Three nuclear warheads.

From three different directions.

On three separate trajectories.

But with a single destination—

Yukanda.

The energy of each warhead was so overwhelming that Akuma didn't need to see them.

His soul could feel them approaching.

"Not three…"

"This is the intent of the entire world."

There was no rage in his eyes.

Something far more dangerous had taken its place—

Resolve.

Draven: Beyond His Limits

High in the middle of the sky,

Draven hovered in place.

His body was no longer stable.

Black energy leaked from his veins like smoke from a dying flame.

The Gate of Abyss—

once believed to be invincible—

had already shattered.

"Master…"

His voice weakened for the first time.

"This energy…

this destruction isn't born from a demon…"

He looked toward the incoming nuclear warheads.

"This is the madness of civilization itself…"

Draven clenched his teeth.

"If I hold on any longer…"

"I'll dissolve right here."

And yet—

He did not retreat.

Akuma's Silence

Below, Akuma closed his eyes.

The outside world vanished.

The screams faded.

Time itself seemed to pause.

Inside him—

Another world was awakening.

A place where memories were buried.

Where power lay dormant.

Where he had once sworn never to walk this path again.

"Mother…"

His fist trembled.

"I made you a promise…"

The Chained Woman

In a place where light had never reached,

a woman stood bound in chains.

Chains around her wrists.

Around her ankles.

Around her neck.

Yet in her eyes—

There was freedom.

The moment Akuma's power truly breathed—

The chains shook.

"You've awakened…"

Her lips trembled.

"But you are still incomplete."

She strained against her restraints.

Blood flowed.

Flesh tore.

Still, she smiled.

"It's alright…"

"A mother can wait."

The Four Beasts: Guardians of Destruction

The sky suddenly screamed.

Not one—

But four ruptures tore through reality.

From the first emerged a Fire Dragon.

Its breath ignited the clouds themselves.

From the second came an Ice Wolf.

With every step, the temperature plunged below absolute zero.

From the third descended a Thunder Bird.

Lightning coursed through its veins.

And the fourth…

From the fourth rupture came something no shape could fully describe.

"Darkness…"

"Living darkness…"

The entire city fell silent at once.

Aradam: A Shattered Belief

From the top of a towering building, Aradam watched it all.

Once, he believed himself to be this world's protector.

Now—

He was nothing more than a witness.

"I called him a monster…"

His voice grew heavy.

"When I'm the one who created him."

Old commands echoed in his mind.

Old files.

Old fabricated reports.

"If this world survives today…"

"It will be because of him alone."

Beasts vs. Nuclear Gods

The four beasts moved together.

The dragon forged a sphere of inferno.

The wolf froze space itself.

The bird sliced through time with lightning.

And the darkness—

Devoured everything.

The nuclear warheads—

For the first time—

Felt fear.

All three were forced deep into the void of space.

For a moment—

It felt as if the universe itself was holding its breath.

Then…

Silence.

Akuma's Descent

Draven collapsed.

Right before him—

Akuma appeared.

He caught Draven before he could fall.

"You did well."

Tears welled up in Draven's eyes.

"Master…"

Akuma descended to the ground.

The crowd panicked.

Some ran.

Some fell to their knees.

"If I am a monster…"

"Then I am one born of your sins."

The halo above his head burned brighter.

The Final Warning

"Today, I saved you."

"Tomorrow, I will not deliver justice."

His voice echoed through the entire city.

"Tomorrow…"

"I will become the verdict."

Final Shock (Cliffhanger)

Suddenly—

A burning pain tore through Akuma's chest.

A new seal formed.

A new voice spoke—

"Heir…"

"Heaven has noticed you."

Akuma's eyes widened.

For the first time—

He realized—

This war does not belong to Earth alone.
