Chapter 13 - A Chapter 12 : Five Years Later (when trouble comes)

Chapter 12 – Five Years Later (when trouble comes)

After the grand gala night, all the great families returned to their worlds of luxury and ambition.

And just like that, five years passed in a blink.

Violet De'ora was now nine years old, and if there was one word to describe her—it was terrifyingly brilliant.

A prodigy in medicine, perfume, and somehow, whip dancing.

You might be wondering, why whip dancing of all things?

Well, Violet couldn't exactly go around smacking people with her whip like a maniac, right? And leaving it unused would dull its power.

So, she decided to turn something dangerous into something graceful—using it in dance form.

(Though between you and me, Vira swore she was just looking for an excuse to spin dramatically like a movie heroine.)

The whip Andrea had given her years ago wasn't an ordinary trinket.

When a drop of her blood accidentally touched it, it awakened—and opened into another world entirely.

Inside wasn't gold or jewels, but an entire hidden garden of rare, mystical plants.

Fields of glowing Thousand-Year Ginsengs, sparkling Moon Ice Flowers, fiery Sunfire Blossoms, Silk-Weave Orchids, Starveil Lotus, and the mysterious Crimson Vein Ferns that shimmered under moonlight.

It was breathtaking—like a dream wrapped in vines.

With the whip's guidebook, Violet studied the plants and soon began crafting powerful medicines and enchanting perfumes.

When one of her perfumes accidentally reached the market, it caused an uproar.

Before long, Violet De'ora, at just nine, was hailed as a child prodigy in both the medical and fragrance industries.

Her whip dancing, though? That remained a secret between her , her parents and Vira—and sometimes April, who had unknowingly inspired her.

.

.

.

.

.

Among Violet's closest friends, April Hind stood out as the quiet one.

Still shy, still polite—but is a psychopath for idols.

The moment a song came on, she transformed from gentle April into a stage diva, eyes sparkling like disco lights.

She wanted to be an idol more than anything, and watching her practice dance moves every day had given Violet the idea to incorporate movement and rhythm into her whip training.

(So technically, Violet owed her whip-dancing inspiration to April's idol dreams.)

Then there was Victoria Crescent, still a chatterbox and still absolutely impossible to shut up.

She could talk to a wall if it stood still long enough.

But behind all that chatter was a razor-sharp mind—Victoria was being groomed as her family's next heir.

She worked hard and learned fast, her bright energy hiding a core of steel.

And remember that perfume Violet gave her during the gala?

Oh, it worked all right—like magic.

When Victoria returned home, the first thing she did was spray it on her parents.

Instantly, the haze that had clouded their minds vanished.

The system's control over them shattered completely.

When they realized how easily they'd been manipulated, they were horrified.

The very next morning, they packed Julia Crescent (Clara) off to her own parents' estate.

Not giving her another chance to act.

The perfume not only broke the hypnosis—it cut the system's link to them forever.

For Victoria, that perfume wasn't just a gift—it was salvation.

.

.

.

The once painfully shy Emery Avril, Violet's self-proclaimed little brother, was now ten years old and too confident for his own good.

Still adorable—but an absolute menace to anyone who tried to outsmart him.

He'd fallen in love with acting and joined a school for young artists.

And apparently, the boy was a natural—he could switch personalities like flipping a light switch.

One second innocent, the next dramatic. Even his teachers called him a born chameleon.

To the world, Emery was becoming a beloved child actor.

To Violet, he was still her clingy little brother who wouldn't stop calling her "Sister Violet."

The Avril family adored him, and since they'd recently welcomed another son—six years younger—they happily let Emery chase his dreams freely.

.

.

.

Ah, yes… our dear "sister" Clara.

How could we forget her.

When she was sent back to her parents, it didn't take long for things to explode.

Joe Crescent, her father, was livid—his years of careful planning had gone up in smoke because of her.

He'd nearly struck her in anger, while her mother Kira tried desperately to stop him.

That's when the 10,000 System stepped in.

Its eerie mechanical voice echoed in Clara's mind, and within moments, both her parents' eyes glazed over—this time they were the one getting hypnotized .

This time, there was no perfume to save them.

From that day on, Clara controlled the second branch of the Crescent family like a little empress.

And since her chance to study anything academic was gone, she turned her focus to the entertainment world.

With her system's help—and its new reward, the Heart of a Movie Queen, a gift that allowed her to feel every emotion her roles required—Clara began her rise.

She could cry, laugh, or fall in love on cue.

It wasn't acting—it was living a thousand roles.

Along the way, she met Christopher Delavin, heir of the Delavin family.

The system hypnotized him into falling in love with her, and with his help, she got top scripts and prime roles.

By nine years old, Julia Crescent was already a famous child actress, known for her "soulful eyes" and "unreal emotion."

Of course, no one knew her "soul" came from a system's manipulation.

And behind every award a child star could get, her hatred for Violet grew darker.

As for Andrea Mist, Dannon Spears, Lucas Giant, and Angelo Hind—

they were now between twelve and thirteen, attending Imperial High, where heirs were molded into future rulers.

Andrea was still Andrea—the charming, reckless storm with too much energy and far too much memory of "his pretty baby."

Dannon was the troublemaker turned strategist, Lucas remained calm and quiet, and Angelo, well… he was the type to laugh while the others argued.

Each was growing into their roles, slowly, steadily, with childish dreams giving way to ambition.

Melissa, on the other hand, had been sent abroad to continue her studies.

Of course, she never really lost touch — she was still in contact with Clara, sending her messages every few weeks, their little friendship (or alliance) still as poisonous as ever.

The De'ora mansion was unusually quiet one afternoon.

Violet sat on the long sofa between her parents, sketching little herb designs in her notebook, while Kingsley flipped through a file of documents.

Lily was humming softly beside them, sipping tea.

The peace shattered when the door flew open.

"Mr. De'ora!" Matthew, Kingsley's assistant, came running in, his face pale and breathless.

"Sir, bad news!"

Kingsley frowned immediately, his voice calm but sharp — still that of a man used to being obeyed.

"What is it, Matthew? Why are you in such a hurry?"

Matthew swallowed hard.

"Sir… the Blossoms family just released HeartVein to the market."

For a second, Kingsley didn't move.

"...What did you just say?"

"The Blossoms released HeartVein this morning, sir! They stole the formula—it's identical to the one we've been developing for years! They even claimed it was their original work!"

Lily gasped.

"That's impossible! The formula hasn't even left our private lab!"

"It's true, ma'am," Matthew said miserably. "All the documents, the testing ratios… everything. It's been leaked."

Kingsley's hand went cold.

"Seven years," he murmured.

"Seven years of my life—stolen?"

Before Lily or Matthew could react, his breathing hitched.

His face drained of color, and his hand clutched at his chest.

"Kingsley!" Lily screamed, jumping to his side, tears already forming.

"Matthew, call the doctor—!"

But Violet, frozen in fear for half a heartbeat, suddenly jolted to action.

"Daddy!" She hurriedly grabbed a small silver case from her pocket — one of her custom calming pills — and pressed it into his hand.

"Please, Daddy, take it!"

Kingsley, trembling, obeyed.

He swallowed the pill, his breathing uneven but gradually slowing.

Lily sobbed softly, still clutching his arm. "Kingsley, please don't scare me like that again…"

Violet's small hands trembled.

She had seen fear before — but this? The thought of losing another father here, in this world she was supposed to protect—it chilled her blood.

Not again, she thought fiercely.

I won't lose my parents again.

Not this time.

.

.

.

.

.

The Blossoms family was no small family.

They weren't as powerful in Migan, but outside, their reach was vast — ranked second in the world, just below the Mist family.

The De'ora family, in comparison, ranked fourteenth worldwide, though still among the top four in Migan itself.

To have their seven years of research stolen by a family with double their resources — and to see them claim it proudly — it was more than betrayal.

It was war.

By the next morning, the news had already exploded across the world:

"Blossoms Family Announces Breakthrough Cure for Heart Defects — A Revolution in Modern Medicine!"

"CEO Kingsley De'ora Suffers Collapse Amid Controversy."

"De'ora Pharmaceuticals in Crisis — Nine-Year-Old Daughter Steps In as Acting Head."

The world watched, amused.

Investors panicked.

The De'ora stocks plummeted in a single day.

Even some of their shareholders began to pull out, selling their shares like a pack of vultures circling a wounded animal.

Inside her room, Violet stared at the reports, her heart pounding.

"Vira," she whispered, "how much luck do I have left?"

[Host currently has 2,083,000 luck points.]

Violet bit her lip.

"Can it be exchanged for money", asked Violet

"Yes it can host, why do you ask?", said vira

"Exchange fifty thousand.

Turn it into real currency."

[Host! That's reckless!] Vira's voice sounded almost scolding. [Fifty thousand points, if you lose fifty thousand points host, it won't be certain to get the complete 1 billion lucky point, and if you do not get the 1 billion in this world host, you failed before you even started ]

"Then what do you want me to do,If I don't do it, my family loses everything," Violet said quietly.

"And I… I lose them, I can't lose another family,not again."

"It's not even certain if I will be able to complete the mission, pls vira let me do it for those I call mine now, before it's too late."

There was a long pause before Vira sighed.

[Exchange complete.

Host now has Ten billion U.S. dollars.]

"Thank you."

"John," Violet called one of her father's men, her voice calm despite her age.

"Take this money and use several accounts to buy back as many De'ora shares as you can.

Use different names.

Do it quietly."

John blinked, almost forgetting she was only nine.

"Y–Yes, Miss Violet!"

.

Meanwhile, at Imperial High School, Andrea Mist sat with his friends in the cafeteria when the headline appeared on his screen.

He froze.

"The De'oras…?"

His chest tightened.

"Uncle Joss," he called one of his father's men. "Buy their stocks.

As many as possible."

"Young master, you can't, your father—"

"Just do it," Andrea said, frowning.

"How do you expect me to watch my wife's family suffer."

"Dad will understand."

The aide could only sigh and obey.

Even with all her hidden buying, Violet couldn't reclaim everything.

Too much had been lost already.

When she knew the mist were also buying a few of their shares she was confused

"Vira what are the mist up to, with this move"

"I don't know host, maybe they want to acquire the De'ora's " answered Vira

"If that's the case, I will make them regret it, no matter who it is," vowed violet

She refuse to stop.

(Andrea doesn't know that his little actions of help, has caused little vira to misunderstand, and change the way his wife views him in her heart.)

Violet sent Matthew to the lab.

"Shut down all current tests and experiments," she ordered.

Then she sent her father's men to the workshop.

"Lock down every batch, every file, and every shipment.

Not a single document leaves the premises."

Finally, she canceled the grand press conference meant for the public launch of HeartVein.

Now, the De'ora family had nothing to release—and that was exactly why Violet needed to create something even better.

Late that night, when everyone else was asleep, Violet sat by her window.

Her small fingers brushed the handle of her violet whip.

She took a deep breath and whispered, "Let's find something… something they'll never be able to steal."

A soft glow filled the room as the whip's space opened before her.

She stepped inside, greeted by endless rows of luminous flowers, glowing herbs, and mysterious ancient plants.

She opened the Whip's Guide Book and flipped through the golden pages until she found it:

"BONE RESTORATION PILL".

A potion capable of repairing shattered bones, restoring movement to the paralyzed, and regenerating broken limbs.

Her eyes widened.

" Although it's different, but This could change everything."

The recipe required:

1000-year-old Giseangs,

Fiery Sun-Fire Blossoms to purify poison in the bloodstream, and

Crimson Vein Ferns, a miracle plant said to reconnect even destroyed bone structures.

Extinct for a thousand years… yet every one of them bloomed here, safely in her whip's secret world.

Vira sounded amazed.

[Host, if you succeed in making this,

it'll shake the entire medical world.]

Violet smiled faintly.

"Then it's time the world meets the real De'oras."

.

.

.

.

.

She began to work carefully, her tiny hands steady and confident.

The herbs soaked in the glowing in alcohol, their essences swirling together until a faint, sweet scent of lotus filled the air.

When the fragrance reached perfection, she whispered, "It's done."

"It's just needs to be turned into a pill".

No one else could make it.

No one else could be trusted.

Only Violet.
