Shubham looked into Nidhi's eyes and asked softly, "Are you okay? Did something happen?"
Nidhi shook her head.
"You know you can share anything with me," Shubham said gently.
Nidhi lifted her head and looked at him.
"You're not alone. You don't have to bear everything by yourself," he added, holding her gaze.
Nidhi had never shared her feelings with anyone—neither good nor bad. Not even with her best friend, Sejal. But with Shubham, she felt for the first time that someone truly belonged to her… someone who could share her pain.
She nodded slowly. "I'll try my best to tell you everything."
Shubham smiled and stroked her head lovingly. "Good girl. Now eat your breakfast before it gets cold."
After breakfast, Shubham dropped Nidhi at the office.
