Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 No blood relationship

Samuel hadn't appeared in front of Natalie for a long time since meeting at the mall that day.

She thought everything would be fine, and didn't mind, but she didn't expect this person to come straight to her door.

She opened the door, looked at the man she hadn't seen for many days, frowned slightly, and said nothing.

The man glanced at her and then looked into the living room, and said in a low voice: "Do you want me to come in and sit?"

Hearing this, Natalie was overjoyed. She blocked the door, looking at him with a half-smile: "Mr. Samuel, what are you making a fuss about? Breaking into a private home?"

"I came here because I wanted to have a serious talk with you." Samuel stopped laughing, his expression serious.

"No, if it's about cooperation, you can go see my brother." She refused without hesitation, glancing at him with a mocking look: "If it's about private matters, I think we have nothing to talk about."

Natalie didn't take his words seriously, and Samuel felt a strong sense of helplessness in his heart.

"Are you that resistant to me?" He asked with deep eyes.

She sneered: "What if not?"

Natalie suddenly retreated and slammed the door.

He touched his nose, but it didn't hurt him, on the contrary, it aroused his deep interest in his ex-wife. There was still plenty of time.

Before coming here, he had prepared everything. He went to the previous villa to find Aunt Sophia to find out about Natalie's situation in the past three years. He could feel that Natalie loved him, but he didn't know. There was no need to.

Now that he thought about it, he suddenly regretted not understanding and finding out sooner.

After that day, Natalie began to receive strange flowers and gifts. At first, she thought it was someone else, but later she found out that it was Samuel, so she signed the refusal form in the security room.

This was not a big deal, but Nathaniel still knew.

That day, Nathaniel came to see her, seemingly accidentally mentioning: "Sister, has Samuel been harassing you lately?"

Natalie was packing her things. Hearing the noise, she looked up and nodded: "Um, I don't know what it is because of stress."

Hearing the affirmative answer, Nathaniel's eyes darkened a bit: "Do you need me to help you move?"

She paused, frowned and thought for a moment, then shook her head and refused: "No, I can take care of it myself, no need to move, it's too much trouble."

Moreover, she didn't think Samuel could endure it for long. He also had Lily by his side. That woman was enough to keep him busy. After a long time, he might forget. Now, perhaps it was just a whim, because he realized that she was different from before. Yes. She was also indifferent, which hurt the pride of the man she loved.

Thinking of this, she pursed her lips.

Nathaniel just asked casually. He understood his sister and knew that she would not cause trouble because of this, but deep down he felt uneasy. The phone suddenly rang, he glanced down: "Sister, the company still has work, I'll go first."

"That's good."

After Nathaniel left, Natalie found a document that her eldest brother left behind when she was packing.

"Why is he so careless?" She muttered, then put the document away, planning to send it to the company later.

Brooks Group Building.

Because of the shocking welcome party last time, there is no one in New York who does not know Natalie, so she went straight to the president's office on the top floor without any trouble.

The internal structure of Brooks Group was quite similar to Samuel's building. Looking at it, she suddenly remembered the scene when she went to the company to find Samuel. At that time, she had not revealed her identity, so she was often stopped by the receptionist, making it difficult to see him. But now... she thought of something, and curled her lips in mockery.

Thinking about work, she found Nathaniel's office, but before she could get close, she suddenly heard a familiar voice from inside.

"Brother, have you heard that Natalie was assassinated?" It was Charlie.

Hearing her name, Natalie stopped and subconsciously looked in.

The office door was slightly open, Charlie and Nathaniel were standing opposite each other inside.

From her perspective, she could clearly see the expression on Nathaniel's face.

Nathaniel lit a cigarette, surrounded by clear mist, the man's eyes were distant, his voice was still as cold as before, but it carried more emotions: "Don't mention it anymore, I will protect her in the future, she won't need to know the truth."

Hearing this, Natalie frowned slightly. The eldest brother clearly knew something, but he didn't want her to know.

She knew that she should knock on the door now, hand over the documents and then leave. She didn't know what her brother wanted, but that wasn't her style, and this matter was also a bit concerning, so she waited patiently in place. Hopefully Charlie could ask what she wanted to ask.

"Can you protect her for a while or for life?" Charlie's voice.

"As long as she wants, I can protect her for life, as long as she wants."

Charlie's expression suddenly changed, "Brother, you don't have any unreasonable thoughts about Natalie, do you?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the entire office suddenly fell silent.

A moment later, she heard Nathaniel's voice, seemingly from afar but very clear, "I like Natalie."

A sentence like a thunderbolt struck Natalie's ears, she looked at the brother she respected with an expression of disbelief. This was the brother who doted on her the most? She thought to herself, but immediately after, her eyes suddenly widened.

"We're not related by blood anyway, so I like her." Nathaniel's tone was gentle, as if he was using all his strength, and also as if he had just revealed a secret that had been buried in his heart for many years.

"But Natalie doesn't know, brother, you..."

Charlie's words became more and more distant, she had already turned around and left.

She didn't know how did she walk out of the company building, her steps were as light as cotton

It wasn't until she walked out of the building for a while that her footsteps slowly stopped.

Thinking vaguely, she stared at the bustling street, suddenly feeling cold.

The voices of the two brothers' conversation rang in her ears again, she suddenly misunderstood. Did she mishear or did they say it wrong?

How could her brother like her? Why weren't they blood relatives?

They grew up together.

The gentle faces of her parents suddenly appeared before her eyes, Natalie squatted down, feeling a little uncomfortable.

She originally just wanted to send a document, but she didn't expect to hear such a shocking secret. She was really lucky. She pursed her lips, weakly standing up.

"Natalie." A low voice sounded from the side.

She looked to the side and saw a black Land Rover parked on the side of the road at some point, and Samuel's face revealed out through the glass window.
