Chapter 11
"Sorry, can I sit here? All the other compartments are full!" A head poked in from outside. The person first glanced at Harry Potter, then noticed Aisen sitting opposite him.
"Why not!" Aisen nodded without objection. Seeing this, Harry Potter quickly added a word.
"By the way, I'm Ron, Ron Weasley!" After sitting down, Ron introduced himself.
"I'm Harry, Harry Potter!" Although Harry Potter wasn't yet part of the wizarding world, legends about him had long circulated within it.
So, upon realizing the person in front of him was indeed Harry Potter, Ron immediately showed a shocked expression.
"So, you really have... that scar?" Seeming afraid of offending him, but unable to hold back, Ron still asked.
"Yes!" Clearly, Harry Potter still didn't understand what the scar meant in the wizarding world, so he didn't mind at all and openly revealed the lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
"Then..." Next, Ron turned to Aisen, who was smiling beside them.
"Oh, this is Professor Turner, the new Astronomy professor." Noticing Ron's action and seeing that Aisen hadn't spoken, Harry Potter introduced him first.
"Mr. Turner... Professor..." Ron had originally thought the person opposite was just an older student, but he hadn't expected Aisen to be a professor. For a moment, Ron felt a bit embarrassed.
"Mr. Weasley, relax. We're not in Hogwarts." Aisen didn't put on any professorial airs. After all, he wasn't like Professor McGonagall—he wasn't that strict.
Hearing Aisen say this, Ron let out a sigh of relief and soon started chatting with Harry.
"Anything off the cart, dears?" A trolley piled high with various magical snacks came weaving down the corridor and stopped at the door of Aisen's compartment.
Having inherited a large fortune, Harry Potter saw that his new friend Ron was short on cash and generously waved his hand, buying one of everything on the trolley.
Aisen had bought some magical snacks in Diagon Alley himself—various flavored candies, jumping chocolate frogs, and the like—which tasted pretty good. But ever since trying a booger-flavored Every Flavor Bean, he'd developed a psychological shadow toward magical snacks.
Clearly, Aisen found it hard to accept such nasty tricks from the magical snack shops. Were wizards really so bored that they had to find amusement this way? Actually, Aisen's guess wasn't far off. After all, prank items were sold openly in stores, so adding a little prank to magical snacks wasn't that strange!
For a while, Ron and Harry ate snacks and chatted. Aisen, on the other hand, turned his gaze to the scenery outside the window.
On the surface, Aisen was just looking at the view, but in reality, he was still pondering the Miracle Trait. This time, seeing Harry and Ron with all sorts of magical snacks, Aisen suddenly thought of something: Did magical snacks count as magical props?
Or extending that—did magical potions count as magical props? After all, they were both things you consumed. If they did, that would be amazing. Leaving other potions aside, Felix Felicis could make someone luckier. That was practically a bug.
Conveniently, Aisen still had one unused Miracle Trait, so he could try it now.
"Is this a real frog?" Harry picked up a small box and examined it but didn't notice anything special.
"No, it's just charmed, but you can collect the cards." Ron's mouth was full, but he still explained to Harry. "Each pack has a card to collect. I've got over five hundred already."
When Harry opened the package, a chocolate frog appeared before him. Clearly, it was Harry's first time seeing one. Then, after croaking once, the chocolate frog jumped straight onto the train window glass.
"Watch out!" Ron warned Harry.
"Accio!" Just as it was about to leap away from the window, Aisen smiled and extended his right hand. With a casual motion and the incantation, the chocolate frog obediently flew into his hand.
"Wow, I know that spell—it's the Summoning Charm! My mum uses it at home all the time!" Ron explained enviously to Harry, who looked surprised.
"That's right, the Summoning Charm. young wizards can learn it going forward at Hogwarts." After handing the chocolate frog back to Harry, Aisen smiled, though inwardly he felt a bit disappointed.
Indeed, his system had no reaction to the magical snacks. That meant magical potions probably wouldn't trigger it either. It seemed Aisen's targets could only be proper magical props.
"By the way, I know a spell too, Fred gave me a spell that can turn Scabbers, my rat yellow. Want to see?" Perhaps inspired by Aisen's magic, Ron suddenly felt like performing.
Harry immediately grew interested, looking curiously at Ron, while Aisen smiled and nodded, giving an encouraging glance.
However, Aisen knew Ron's performance was going to fail. The reason? He figured Ron had probably been tricked by Fred. After all, Fred, who loved pranks, was absolutely capable of something like that.
"Sunshine..." Ron took out his wand, waved it, and had just started the incantation when he was suddenly interrupted.
"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one!" A little witch with bushy brown hair appeared at the compartment door. After glancing inside, she continued, "Neville's toad is missing!"
Clearly, this was the brains of the trio—Hermione Granger.
As she spoke, Hermione revealed a pair of prominent front teeth. Though she didn't know who the unfamiliar person was, Ron shook his head to indicate he hadn't seen any toad.
"Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see it!" Perhaps noticing Ron holding his wand, Hermione showed great interest. Of course, she might not have realized her tone was a bit bossy.
"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid, fat rat yellow!" Ron recited the spell with utmost seriousness, nearly making Aisen beside him chuckle.
After a flash of light, Ron's pet rat Scabbers showed no change whatsoever. Ron immediately looked embarrassed, and Harry shrugged, unsure how to comfort him.
"Are you sure that's a real spell? It doesn't seem very useful, does it?" Hermione, on the other hand, had no such reservations and directly commented.
"I've tried a few simple spells, and they've all worked perfectly!" With that, Hermione sat down opposite them—right next to Aisen.
She might not have meant any harm, but her tone was truly exasperating. No wonder in the original story, the young wizards initially disliked Hermione so much.
"For example, Oculus Reparo!" Holding her wand, Hermione cast the spell on Harry's glasses. Clearly, this was a simple variant of the Reparo charm.
As Hermione's voice fell, Harry's glasses suddenly became as good as new, like they'd just been bought. Tsk tsk, Aisen couldn't help but admire inwardly. Even though it was just a variant, mastering spells before starting school showed why Hermione was a top student.
At that moment, Aisen really thought Hermione should have been in Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor.
"Wow, you're Harry Potter? I'm Hermione Granger. And you are?" When Harry took off his glasses, the scar on his forehead was spotted by Hermione.
Looking shocked, Hermione first introduced herself, then turned to Ron beside her.
Ron, still busy chewing, introduced himself.
"That was an excellent Repairing Charm. If this were a class, you would have earned some house points!" Before Hermione could look over, Aisen praised her directly.
Honestly, as a professor—well, just an Astronomy professor—Aisen understood why teachers loved top students. It was fulfilling and truly saved effort.
"Points?" Hermione looked at the slightly older boy in front of her, perfectly expressing confusion.
"Oh right, this is Professor Turner, he'll be teaching at Hogwars." Ron seized the chance to reveal Aisen's identity.
Indeed, though Aisen was an adult, his nineteen-year-old youthful appearance usually made people subconsciously think he was just a senior student, not a school professor.
"Professor Turner!" In an instant, Hermione showed extreme surprise. Then, realizing her earlier behavior had all been seen by him, a blush appeared on her face.
'Why act bossy, if you get embarrassed easily.' Though Aisen thought that, he maintained a kind smile.
