Omnipotence Is Not Freedom

Chapter 6 — One Second of Hell

La Dang moved first.

He kicked off the broken wall, body twisting midair as he brought his blade down toward Bang Min's neck.

The strike never landed.

Bang Min raised one finger.

The sword stopped.

Metal screamed as the blade trembled violently, unable to move forward another inch. Bang Min looked bored.

With a flick of that same finger—

La Dang was blasted backward, smashing through a stall and skidding across the ground.

"Shit—!" Zuko yelled.

Karl-Jay didn't hesitate.

He charged.

The broken sword screamed through the air, aimed straight for Bang Min's chest—

But the human-like monsters surged forward.

Three of them lunged at once.

Karl-Jay twisted sideways, narrowly avoiding a slash. He cut upward—clean and fast. One head fell, rolling across the ground.

The body collapsed.

Karl-Jay froze.

It's still warm.

He looked closer.

Inside the skull—embedded deep in the brain—was a crystal, glowing faintly black.

"…They're alive," he whispered.

Humans.

Controlled.

The demon's voice slithered into his mind.

Kill them all.

There's no point saving them.

They're already dead.

Karl-Jay screamed and cut another down.

---

Li Fang and La Dang attacked together.

Li Fang kicked low.

La Dang slashed high.

Bang Min caught La Dang's sword with his bare hand.

Li Fang's kick connected—

Bang Min smiled.

He slammed his knee forward, striking Li Fang in the stomach, then spun and kicked both men in the chest at the same time.

They flew backward like broken dolls.

The wall behind them collapsed.

Bang Min stepped forward.

The ground cracked beneath his feet.

His clothes shifted—dark fabric unraveling and reforming into long white robes that flowed unnaturally in the air. On his back burned a symbol:

🔆

His eyes glowed.

Within them, a smaller symbol pulsed:

🔅

"Sukuwome," Bang Min said softly.

He raised his hand.

La Dang and Li Fang were lifted into the air—and slammed against the wall again.

Their eyes turned dull.

Milky.

Blind.

In reality, their bodies hung limp.

Inside—

---

They were somewhere else.

A dimension of flesh and screaming shadows.

They died.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Torn apart. Burned. Crushed. Drowned.

Pain without escape.

Time warped.

One second in the real world—

Was one full day in that hell.

Their screams never left their throats.

---

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEM?!" Zuko shouted.

More controlled humans poured into the market.

Karl-Jay tightened his grip on his broken sword.

Blood dripped down his arm.

He charged again, weaving between the monsters, cutting with brutal precision.

He reached Bang Min—

Swung—

Bang Min stepped aside and drove a kick straight into Karl-Jay's chest.

Something cracked.

Karl-Jay flew into a wall, coughing blood, vision flickering.

Junior grabbed a controlled human and snapped his neck with a scream of rage.

"Sheila!" he shouted. "Use your teleportation!"

"I—I can't!" she cried. "I don't know how!"

A blur crashed down from above.

Siel.

He smashed a monster's head with a casual kick, then yanked La Dang and Li Fang free from the wall, holding them midair.

He flew to Karl-Jay, then Junior.

"hey Sheila believe in yourself," Siel snapped.

He forced Sheila's trembling hand into Junior's.

Bang Min laughed and charged.

Junior grabbed La Dang's sword.

With everything he had—

He threw it.

The blade slammed into Bang Min's shoulder, forcing him back a step.

Just one.

But it was enough.

Space twisted.

The group vanished.

---

Later.

Silence.

They lay scattered in a ruined alley, bodies bruised and broken.

Karl-Jay groaned.

La Dang and Li Fang didn't move.

Sheila knelt beside them, shaking.

"Please wake up…"

Zuko stared into the distance, fists clenched.

Siel floated silently for once.

Blood stained the ground.

And somewhere far away—

Bang Min smiled.
