Just as Dai Mubai's claw-like hand was about to land on her shoulder, Zhu Zhuqing changed her footwork. Her body seemed to become ethereal, effortlessly dodging Dai Mubai's hand.
Dai Mubai's grab missed, and he stumbled, nearly falling forward.
He steadied himself and saw Zhu Zhuqing standing three meters away, arms crossed, watching him. Her face showed no anger, only a cold, detached expression.
"You disappoint me," she said, then turned and walked back into the room.
This time, Dai Mubai didn't say anything or make a move.
He stared at Zhu Zhuqing's alluring back, his fists clenched.
Thinking of Tang Yin.
A cracking sound came from his fists.
"Tang Yin, I definitely won't lose to you next time."
Dai Mubai's eyes flashed with a hint of jealousy.
A trace of hatred.
And a sliver of anger.
Then he turned and left, returning to his cultivation.
As Zhu Zhuqing said, he really didn't have much time left.
Back in her room, Zhu Zhuqing sat on the bed and began to meditate, but she suddenly found Tang Yin's figure appearing in her mind again.
If Dai Mubai hadn't come to her earlier and said all that nonsense, she might have kept cultivating, never thinking of Tang Yin at all.
But now, because of Dai Mubai's words, Tang Yin's figure became more and more real in her mind, and the words he had spoken appeared in her mind bit by bit.
