Raphael was already in the training room when Eve arrived the next morning.
The first thing she noticed was the difference in him.
Yesterday, returning from the hospital, he'd been visibly depleted...the careful composure he maintained couldn't fully conceal the exhaustion underneath, the slight transparency that came from a supernatural being running genuinely low on reserves. He'd gone directly to the east wing upon their return, and Eve had chosen not to think too carefully about what happened after that.
The results were evident this morning.
