Eve collapsed onto Damian's chest, her breathing finally slowing, her hunger finally.....finally...satisfied.
The brothers lay tangled around her, utterly spent. Eve had drained them so thoroughly that they could barely move. But they were alive. And more importantly, Eve was alive.
And transformed.
"I can feel you," Eve whispered, her new claws tracing idle patterns on Damian's chest. "Really feel you. Not just physically. I can feel your emotions, your thoughts, your souls. The bond.....it's complete now, isn't it?"
"Yes," Silas confirmed, his voice hoarse. "The soul bond completed during the transformation. We're not just mates anymore. We're bound at the deepest possible level."
"I can feel your wolves," Eve continued, wonder in her voice. "They're.....they're beautiful. Why didn't I feel them before?"
