Chapter 22 - chapter 22

Chapter 22: The Void Force

They walked into STAR Labs like ghosts returning to a battlefield.

Barry, Cisco, and Harrison Wells stood near the main console, their faces grave as Dante and Caitlin stepped inside.

The heavy silence wasn't because they were surprised to see Dante—Barry had seen him fight more times than he could count—but because what they had witnessed just minutes ago was something else.

It wasn't speed.

It wasn't raw power.

It was rage.

Wrath.

The kind of force that could rip through the city like a storm and leave nothing behind but fear.

Barry's eyes didn't leave Dante as he exhaled a slow breath and lit a cigarette, the smoke curling around his fingers like a shroud.

Cisco broke the silence, a curious edge in his voice. "So… what's your power, man?"

The question hung in the air like a challenge.

For a moment, everyone blinked—because no one really knew.

Dante was strong.

Fast.

But he wasn't like Barry.

He wasn't like the Reverse-Flash.

And the way he moved—calm, almost detached—made him something else entirely.

Dante took a slow drag from his cigarette, his eyes locking with Cisco's as if weighing the answer.

"How the hell should I know?" he said, voice rough.

"I thought it was your job, nerd, to understand all this science stuff."

Caitlin stepped closer, smiling softly.

"We're just wondering, Dante," she said gently.

He glanced at her, the cigarette smoke drifting between them.

"I'm just like this. I don't tap into the Speed Force like Barry. I don't have the Speed Force inside me."

He exhaled again, and the smoke thickened around his face like a veil.

"I have rage."

"Wrath."

"And I tap into something darker."

He flicked the cigarette to the floor, grinding it out under his boot.

"I call it the Void Force."

Silence hit the room like a bomb.

Cisco's brow furrowed. "The Void Force?"

Harrison Wells leaned forward, eyes narrowing as if trying to solve a puzzle only he could see.

Barry stared at Dante, the question burning in his mind. What the hell was the Void Force?

Dante's gaze drifted toward the ceiling, as if pulling memories from deep within himself.

"It's… hard to explain."

He swallowed and continued, voice low.

"It's not a power that gives you speed or strength."

"It's a hunger."

"A darkness inside that feeds on pain and anger."

"Unlike the Speed Force, the Void Force doesn't make you faster."

"It makes you unstoppable."

Cisco exchanged a glance with Barry.

"So… it's like rage powered speed?"

"No," Dante said sharply.

"It's not about speed."

"It's about control."

"The more rage you have, the stronger the Void Force gets."

"The harder it hits."

"And if you lose control…"

He paused, and the room seemed to grow colder.

"You lose yourself."

Barry's heart skipped.

He knew what that meant.

He'd been close to losing control before.

He'd seen what happened when someone tapped too deep into their rage.

But Dante's warning had a weight beyond anything Barry had felt.

Wells finally broke the silence.

"If the Void Force is as dangerous as you say…"

"Then why haven't we seen it before?"

Dante shrugged.

"Because I never let it out."

"Until now."

Caitlin reached out and gently touched Dante's arm.

"It's why he's been training so hard."

"He's trying to control it."

Barry stepped forward, his voice steady but fierce.

"You could've warned us."

"About what you're carrying."

Dante looked at him.

"Would you have listened?"

Barry's jaw clenched.

"I'm listening now."

Dante's eyes softened, just for a moment.

"Good."

Then he turned to Cisco.

"Now, about that suit."

Cisco grinned.

"Finally! You're going to let me design something?"

Dante smirked.

"Don't get your hopes up. And hi i thought you already made one"

Cisco smiled " well of course i did but now i have more thoughts about that"

Dante looked at him and smiled" whatever man i trust your taste just make it into you know… something to contain the Void."

The room shifted from tension to possibility.

Because for the first time, Dante was letting them in.

The darkness inside him wasn't just a weapon.

It was a burden.

One he didn't have to carry alone.

And maybe, just maybe…

Together, they could face the Void.
