Chapter 13 - chapter 13

Chapter 13: Speed Versus Wrath

The rooftop cracked beneath his boots as the Green Arrow landed hard, drawing another arrow with precision and aiming straight at the blur in front of him.

The Flash.

Barry.

But this wasn't the Barry Allen Oliver Queen remembered. This Barry was different. Breathing like a beast. His eyes wild behind the mask. Red lightning pulsed around him like a storm barely held back.

"You've crossed a line," Oliver warned, stepping between Iris and the still-bleeding Eddie.

Barry's head tilted, twitching like something was clawing inside him.

"Get out of my way," he growled.

"Can't do that," Oliver said calmly. "You need help. You've been hit with something. This isn't you."

Barry didn't reply.

He moved.

And the fight began.

Red lightning cracked the sky.

Green arrows filled the air.

They collided across rooftops, fists against arrows, speed against precision. Barry was faster—faster than ever—but Oliver had trained for this. Every move calculated. Every shot meant to slow, not kill. But Barry wasn't holding back. Not anymore.

He moved like rage incarnate.

Oliver grunted as a red blur knocked him into a brick wall, cracking it behind him. He rolled away, loosed another arrow, caught Barry mid-stride—but Barry just vibrated through it, unhinged and relentless.

Blow after blow.

Street to street.

Alley to rooftop.

Until Oliver lay sprawled on the pavement, gasping, bruised and beaten. The Flash stood over him, trembling with fury.

Then—

Thunder struck.

Not from the sky.

But from the ground.

A tremor of presence.

Dante Hart stood behind Barry.

Still. Calm. Cigarette glowing between his lips.

Red eyes narrowed, watching.

"I'm supposed to be the angry one, friend," Dante said softly. "Not you."

Barry turned slowly, his voice low and venomous. "Stay out of this."

Dante didn't move. "Go back to STAR Labs. Let them fix whatever the hell this is—before I do."

Barry smirked beneath his mask. "Or what?" he said darkly. "You gonna kill me like you killed The Mist? Like Tony? Like Farooq?"

Dante didn't blink.

He just looked at him. Soft. Almost disappointed.

"I guess I should."

And then they moved.

Flash versus whatever the hell Dante Hart truly was.

They tore through the city like gods in war. Thunder and lightning chased their footsteps. Craters formed where they collided. Entire buildings trembled as they punched and vanished, reappearing miles away to strike again.

Dante never used his full power.

He didn't have to.

He knew if he did, Barry wouldn't survive.

Still, the fight was brutal.

Brutal and endless.

Until—

In one move, one blur, one blink—

Dante grabbed Barry by the throat.

And ran.

To Barry, it didn't even feel like motion.

One second: a broken street beneath his feet.

The next: cold concrete walls of STAR Labs.

Dante was there.

Holding Barry in the air like a wild animal that needed caging.

Everyone inside froze—Caitlin, Cisco, Wells—all speechless.

Dante walked forward, no words spoken.

He opened the cell—the one meant for dangerous metahumans.

And without a word—

He threw Barry inside.

The door sealed.

Barry growled, slamming his fists against the glass.

Dante turned away.

"I told you," he muttered. "You're not the only fast one in this city."
