The arrest of the last five Mages of 'Dark Night Poison Scorpions' marked the complete dismantling of the 'City of Lawlessness'.
Several days later, those outlaws were escorted to the Council and received their punishment.
A few days after that, the Council released the full story to the public.
To avoid public unrest, however, they deliberately omitted any mention of 'Tartaros' and merely dispatched agents to continue the investigation in secret.
The announcement sent shockwaves across every corner of the Fiore Kingdom.
Although the war had ended many months ago, parts of the kingdom were still in chaos; with the 'City of Lawlessness' now eliminated, order finally returned to many regions.
At the same time, the name Weston Lagrange resurfaced in the public eye.
Only then did many realize that the boy possessed not only unmatched tactical genius, but also tremendous magical power.
Consequently, 'Fairy Tail' shot back into the spotlight… Magnolia.
Inside the Fairy Tail guildhall, Mages drank and celebrated together.
"Cheers!!"
"Master, Precht, thanks for all your hard work this time!"
Glasses clinked; the golden ale swirled, its aroma thickening.
"I hardly did anything—it was all Weston's achievement."
"Come on, didn't Weston say you wiped out an entire Assassin Guild single-handedly?"
Yuri strolled over, threw an arm around Precht's neck, grinning. 'The Council's bulletin called you the MVP in destroying the City of Lawlessness; Weston just tagged along for the ride!'
And it was true!
Those soldiers had defected of their own accord;
apart from the Fighting Brothers, every member of the Seven-Legged Serpent fell to Precht alone;
of Dark Night Poison Scorpions' six top officers, four surrendered voluntarily and the other two—along with the rank-and-file—were captured by the troops;
Weston had only taken down one guild master.
Calling it a free ride was no exaggeration.
"Yuri's right—too much modesty isn't a virtue, Precht!"
Warrod joined them, beer in hand. 'You're the guild's first superstar after Weston—show some swagger!'
Precht pondered their words. 'Swagger, huh…'
"Simple!"
"How about starting with an Autograph Session?"
"Hey, hey—Warrod, you—"
Seeing Precht's flustered face, Warrod doubled over laughing. 'Just kidding, just kidding!'
While the three brothers bantered, Weston's side was far less cheerful.
"I thought you were just going to scout, not obliterate the entire City of Lawlessness—reckless as always."
"Next time you plan something this dangerous, come back first and bring at least two more people!"
Zera stood with hands on hips, cheeks puffed like a neglected wife.
Weston muttered, 'Bring two more? You just want a brawl…'
"What did you say?!"
"N-nothing…"
Too late—his whisper had reached Zera's ears verbatim.
Flustered, the girl lunged with a squeaky war-cry, unleashing her ultimate move: 'Tiny-Fist Chest-Pound!'
Perched on a barstool, Mavis swung her bare feet, smiling softly as she skimmed the latest Magic News.
"Still, wiping out the City of Lawlessness is good; now our teams can take jobs without fear of reprisals."
"Yeah…"
Just then a guildmate burst in from outside.
"Master, Master!!"
"A letter from the Council for you!!!"
"…Eh?"
A letter from the Council?
What for?
Surely that Ramshackle Bunch wasn't writing just to thank me for crushing Dark Night Poison Scorpions and tipping them off about Tartaros?
Puzzled, Weston took the envelope, tore it open, and read.
His eyes snapped wide as he sucked in a sharp breath.
Seeing his reaction, everyone crowded closer.
"Master, what does it say?"
"Let us see…"
"Did they send Prize Money for trashing the City of Lawlessness? How much?"
"Quit thinking about cash—maybe they're inviting the Master to become a Councillor!"
"Councillor? Hah, who'd take such a pain-in-the-neck post?!"
"Exactly—our Master belongs to Fairy Tail; he won't leave the guild!!"
In skill, Fairy Tail's Mages were only mid-tier, but in unity no guild could match them.
"Weston, what does it say?"
Mavis leaned in, curious.
A few strands of golden hair brushed his face, carrying the scent of fresh grass.
He inhaled, steadied himself, and raised his head to the expectant crowd.
"The Council… plans to form a team of ten elite Mages whose power will deter nations and guilds from waging war at will."
"The team will be called the 'Ten Wizard Saints'."
"Based on my displayed strength, influence, and contributions to the Magic World, they believe I qualify as a member and have extended this invitation."
The Ten Wizard Saints—so the group is being proposed at this point in time!
Weston weighed the pros and cons while the rest of the guild exchanged glances of growing excitement.
"Ten Wizard Saints?!"
"Using overwhelming might to keep nations and guilds in check?!"
"So they're gathering the ten strongest Mages on the continent to Debut as a Team?"
"If the Council invited the Master, does that mean they already rank him among Ishgar's top ten?!"
"As expected of our Master!"
"Everyone—raise your glasses to the Master becoming a Ten Wizard Saint!"
"Whoooooa!!!!!!"
