Jisong's mind had gone completely numb. The cold glow of the phone screen was getting blurred by the tears dripping from his eyes. 📱💧 "The son of a murderer..." Those words felt like a physical blow to his chest, over and over again.
He looked up at Yeonjun. Yeonjun, who was groaning in agony, whose blood was still staining Jisong's hands. Was this really the person whose father had destroyed Jisong's entire world? 🥀🔥
The Silent Confrontation 🕯️🌑
At that moment, Secretary Kim and the doctor rushed in. The doctor immediately began treating Yeonjun's wound. Jisong stood in the corner, watching everything in a trance, his hands still stained crimson with Yeonjun's blood. 🩸
Once the doctor had removed the bullet and administered a sedative, Secretary Kim approached Jisong.
Secretary Kim (With concern): "Jisong-shi, are you okay? Your face is as white as a ghost."
Without saying a word, Jisong slowly extended his phone toward Kim. He didn't speak; he just showed him the message. 📩⚠️
Secretary Kim's face turned pale with dread. His heavy silence gave Jisong the only answer he needed.
Jisong (Voice trembling): "So it's true? The Chairman... Yeonjun's father... he's the one who killed my parents?" 😭
Secretary Kim: "Jisong, it was an accident... Master Yeonjun was just a child then. He has spent years blaming himself. He searched for you everywhere just to make amends for that sin."
Jisong (Screaming): "Amends?! Can my life come back? Can that fire be unlit?!" 😠🔥

Jisong pushed open the door to Yeonjun's room. Yeonjun was conscious but incredibly weak. He saw Jisong's bloodshot eyes and knew instantly—everything was over.
Yeonjun (Weakly): "Jisong... come here." ✋
Jisong stayed frozen at the door. "How can I come near you? Every time I look at you, I see that fire. I hear those screams."
A single tear rolled down Yeonjun's cheek. "I know. That's why I never told you. I was terrified... that I would lose you all over again." 🥀
Jisong: "You didn't save me to do me a favor, Yeonjun. You saved me from a truth that I had every right to know!" 💥
The Ambush 🌪️🌑
Before they could say another word, the mansion's alarms blared to life! 🚨🚨
The Chairman's booming voice echoed from a megaphone outside:
Chairman: "Yeonjun! Send the boy out. He knows my secrets; he has no right to live! If you don't hand him over, I will turn this mansion into ashes!" 🏟️🔥
Despite his injury, Yeonjun struggled to get out of bed. He grabbed his gun and reached for Jisong's hand.
Yeonjun: "Jisong, hate me, kill me... but I will never let you fall into the hands of the man who stole our childhood. This story ends today." 🐺🛡️
The Twist 🌪️
Yeonjun signaled to Secretary Kim. A hidden passage opened beneath the floorboards of the mansion.
Yeonjun: "Kim, take him and go. I'll deal with my father myself."
Jisong gripped Yeonjun's hand tightly. His hatred was real, but he couldn't leave Yeonjun to die in this state. 🤝💖
Jisong: "No... I'm not going anywhere. If death is coming today, then we settle the score together."
