Chapter 24 - Difficult Times

Suddenly, a clanging sound was heard beside them.

A pirate opened his mouth wide. The knife in his hand fell to the deck. His eyeballs almost jumped out of their sockets.

"What are you doing!"

The pirate beside him who was wiping tears was shocked, very displeased his emotions were disturbed.

"Re-revived!"

The first one pointed toward Namur, speaking stuttering.

"What revived, you're babbling... Damn!"

The flintlock rifle in the second's hand also fell to the deck with a clang.

"Everyone quiet!"

Lucas was very angry. He turned, just about to curse, suddenly his eyes bulged. He also cursed: "Damn!"

Then, a simultaneous exclamation was heard throughout the Moby Dick: "Damn, damn!"

Visible was Namur, who had just looked like a nearly dead salted fish, now had sat bolt upright. His eyes were full of surprise. While moving his hands and feet, he looked toward Kaiser beside him.

"Momentary revival?"

Lucas looked at Namur, his face full of sadness: "My brother, quickly lie down. I know you're unwilling, rest assured, Pops will surely avenge you."

While speaking, he wanted to force Namur to lie down.

Namur: "..."

Namur swatted this man away. He directly stood up, and knelt before Kaiser: "My brother, you have saved my life, you are my benefactor. Just say what you want in the future, I, Namur, will do it even if I have to risk my life!"

Kaiser nodded: "I want that Golden List in the sky. Please help me get it."

Namur: "..."

Vista widened his eyes. He suddenly stepped forward happily, hugged Namur, and laughed uproariously: "Bro, you're healed! You're truly healed!"

Namur drew a cold breath: "Sss... Damn! You be gentle, I'll die, I'll die, I'll die!"

Although his internal organs' condition had recovered to peak, even his internal organs had returned to normal function, the muscle tissue on his body's surface was still in recovery condition. After all, the corrosion was too severe, showing bone.

Granulation on the wounds intertwined and grew together, recovering at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Vista's embrace suddenly made him scream in pain.

Vista: "... Sorry, sorry!"

Soon, the Moby Dick ship was filled with joy and praise.

"You're amazing!"

"Captain Namur was nearly dead, and you managed to save him. You're a divine healer!"

"Bro, be honest, your medical skills are extraordinary. I've always worried I can't have children, can you help me examine? That trash Lucas said I'm sterile, truly shameful to the ship doctor profession!"

Lucas: "Nonsense! What can I do if your life root was cut off by someone else!"

Vista's smile gradually bloomed. He suddenly turned and shouted: "Pops, Namur is alive—"

His voice echoed in all directions, far across the battlefield.

At this moment, at sea.

Shirohige had caught up to that black mist. The naginata in his hand was raised high. Terrifying power fluctuations were forming.

"Air Quake!"

A transparent light sphere visible to the naked eye lit up on the naginata, slashing toward the black mist.

At the same time, transparent ripples also lit up on Shirohige's fist. He snorted angrily: "Sea Quake!"

Teach was scared half to death. He desperately squeezed his strength, wanting to dodge. Black water streams like swamps seeped out from the thick black mist, rapidly spreading around.

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*

The space made strange glass-like sounds like breaking glass. The space ahead, centered on Shirohige's naginata, truly shattered, including the thick black mist that couldn't be avoided by all division commanders.

Teach's figure was visible, his face full of terror.

The seawater beneath his feet also roared, as if angry, waves thousands of meters high soared high. The sky seemed covered, pressing on Teach everywhere.

"No—"

Teach watched himself surrounded by seawater from all directions, with no place to escape. He roared desperately.

But his voice was drowned by the sound of rolling waves.

The mirror-like spatial crack directly pierced Teach's chest, cutting him in two at the waist, and blood spurted profusely.

Shirohige calmly watched this scene, stepping in the air. A ring of transparent light appeared around him. Seawater couldn't approach at all.

"Teach, you must bear the consequences of your actions. This is your place!"

Shirohige said calmly, but in his eyes flashed a bit of pain.

He truly regarded every crew member as his family.

Killing his own son with his hands made his heart ache as if stabbed by a knife.

The seawater covering the sky struck down, truly smashing Teach into the sea, and he disappeared.

Shirohige silently turned, stepping in the air toward the Moby Dick.

Teach, who was already cut in two, was swallowed by seawater again. He must be dead already. A traitor like this didn't even deserve a burial.

However, what he didn't know was, at this moment under the sea.

Two parts of Teach's body slowly sank, and life rapidly disappeared.

Suddenly, the belly of a shark passing beside him tore open. Two hands stretched out from inside. Immediately after, both hands grabbed both sides of the belly and tore it hard!

The shark was directly split in two. Blood immediately filled this area of seawater.

"Hmm... this man should already be dead, right?"

Inside the seawater, stood a strange man wearing a black robe and a spiral-patterned mask on his face. He propped his chin and was lost in thought.

"Forget it, since this is a task ordered by my lord, bring him back first. I don't care whether he's dead!"

While speaking, that black-robed man quickly formed hand seals. He grabbed the two parts of Teach's body. The surrounding space distorted. Both their figures disappeared.

In the south of the Three Realms.

City A.

Genos withdrew his palm. The blazing flames sprayed disappeared. Before him was a sea of fire.

"More and more strange men are appearing!"

Worry crossed his eyes.

Along with the appearance of the Golden List in the sky, the world had undergone drastic changes. The number of monsters that were already very difficult to deal with now increased even more.

Even Tiger and Dragon level monsters that were rarely seen appeared in considerable numbers.

The Hero Association was now very busy.

People in every city were now in great panic. A large number of ordinary people died every day.

"This can't be allowed to continue like this. Relying on heroes like us alone isn't enough. We can't save them at all!"

Genos spewed fire from his feet. His entire body rose into the air. He identified the direction, and flew toward Hero Association headquarters.

At this moment, in the Hero Association Headquarters meeting room.

Most S-Class heroes were already present. They sat or stood, and their expressions didn't look good.

Silver Fang, ranked third, stood with hands behind his back in front of a ceiling-high window. He silently looked at fires appearing from time to time in the city, his brows furrowed deeply.

"Difficult times..."
