The room was full of tension and Fedrick was breathing heavily. Marton was standing a far but in front of Fedrick.
"My-my, is that all you have got darling?" Marton speaks in teasing way covering his smiling lips with his left hand.
Fedrick looks up and yells, "Don't try to push me… just hand me the boy and I shall leave."
Marton keeping his cunning expressions and the evil smile teases Fedrick again,
"Have you consulted to a doctor about your sickness of being delusional?... I have great doctors at my place; they might just know how to cure it."
Fedrick was already done talking. His face showed expressions of 'totally lost it'. So, he charged towards Marton yelling. He ran towards him and swung his sword vertically but Marton easily dodges it and moves to the back of Fedrick. Due to his big sword, it was hard for Fedrick to turn back. So, as soon as he sensed Marton's presence at his shoulder, instead of turning all around he bent down and used the already built momentum to turn to his right. And just at the moment he turns right, Marton attacks him with a black cane. It had a golden round handle. The cane was turning sharp and pointy towards its other end. The cane was swung very fast. Fedrick dodged most of it but it did hit him at his dominant hand's shoulder. He fumbled a bit but stood up again in no time. The pain in shoulder was visible from his face. Marton looks at him and grabs the cane from pointy end and takes the cover off, revealing a sword under it. It was not as long as Fedrick's sword but it looked way more polished and sharped.
"It is 80 percent done, just a few more moments" Scientist shouts from other end of the room.
Marton hears it and gives a cunning smile. Then he looks at Fedrick and shoots towards him. Fedrick barely dodges the attack and as soon he gets away from attack he shouts,
"Robin! Destroy the computer!"
Robin hears the instructions and without any second thought starts walking towards computer on normal pace. His eyes were dead calm and so were his footsteps. He was locked onto the computer. He was walking towards computer when the scientist came in his way and spoke,
"You don't know who you are messing with, I am a cold-blooded murderer."
It doesn't affect Robin at all; he was still moving towards the computer at same pace. Watching him getting closer the scientist gets tensed and starts shouting,
"I am giving you last warning. You can still-"
Scientist goes all silent. Robin was already past the scientist. The scientist turns towards Robin and without uttering any word he falls on his knees. Suddenly blood starts flowing out of scientist's body in a straight vertical line like a fountain. Scientist falls apart in two pieces. Two equal halves vertically.
"I was not allowed to kill!" the lady screams from corner of the room.
Fedrick, still busy with Marton shouts,
"Emmy, you know Robin doesn't work with rules!"
"Urghh! This filthy being!" Emmy shouts in a disgusting and jealous way.
Robin ignoring all of these comments reaches the computer. He lifts up his sword and with one single blow he slices through computer like a hot knife slicing through butter.
Robin shouts out,
"It's done!"
Suddenly the machines turn off and the room goes silent. The only source of light was the hole blown by Fedrick and the gang. Marton was not happy with what happened.
"This is why you-you humans don't ever evolve at a fast pace… you keep a hold of your painful past like a beautiful memory and think about your future according to that past!" Marton shouts at Fedrick in anger and shoots himself towards Fedrick with his sword.
Fedrick dodges the attack but was welcomed with continuous attacks from Marton. While attacking Fedrick Marton shouts again,
"This is what makes you weird!"
Fedrick this time tackles the attack and blocks it with his sword. Looking at Marton from a distance of hardly 10 inches he speaks up,
"You see, this is where you are wrong; all of this doesn't make us weird, on contrary this is what makes us human."
He pushes Marton away from him and gets in a stance to fight. They both scream and starts attacking each other.
Richard lying on the bed was not able to move but he was still witnessing all of it. He was trying as hard as he could to get his body to move.
"Move-move goddammit- move!" he whispers to himself while trying his best to move.
All he could do was look at the floor while lying upside down and listen to what everyone was shouting. He could hear Marton and Fedrick fighting but he was not able to help him in any way. He was feeling all so helpless when he hears a whisper,
"move"
Richard was stunned upon hearing the voice. It was a rather familiar voice. He just couldn't answer who it was. Still stunned from the voice, he hears it again and this time he asks,
"Who- who is it?"
The voice replies,
"I? I am you."
Richard surprised, again asks,
"m-me?"
"Yes, you, I am your inner voice, your thoughts, your ideas, it's all me."
The voice replies.
"But I never found you before- so, why now?"
Richard asks all so confused.
"Maybe this time, you really need me."
Voice replies in low tone.
"But I-"
Richard hears a scream before he could ask another question. It was Fedrick, he was pierced through his leg by Marton's sword.
"Ok-ok, how do I help him?"
Richard asks from the voice.
"Move"
The voice replies
"I can't, I am not able to move at all."
Richard explains to the voice.
"Wait- let me heal your body."
The voice replies.
Richard surprisingly asks,
"I can do that?"
"No-no-no, you see you can't; I can!"
The voice explains.
Richard agrees with making a sound.
Richard was looking at floor when suddenly he starts feeling hot at his back and the very next second Richard was screaming out his lungs. The pain was visible from his eyes. Everything in the room stops. Zero moments were taking place other than Richard screaming. Suddenly the room became silent. The only thing audible was Richard, breathing heavily. Everyone was looking at Richard stunned, when he suddenly stood up on his feet. With a woosh sound Richard was gone. He was not visible anywhere in the room.
Suddenly Richard appears in front of Marton. Even before Marton could realise what happened, Richard punches him on his face and Marton goes flying into the wall. Marton hits the wall and falls on his knees, unable to stand up and was shocked enough that he just lost his voice for a moment.
Marton looks up and points towards Richard and speaks
"I-I will- give you the life you deserve boy...this- this world has taken a lot from you, I will give- give it all back to you. Hear me boy I-I will help you become the demon you desire to be."
Suddenly Richard shoots towards Marton and picks him up from his collar. In the room full of silence, Richard stood silent. Fedrick and the gang stood frozen too. The tension was about what will Richard choose.
Richard, holding Marton's collar and with a punch ready to strike speaks softly,
"I-I am not a demon."
Richard lowers his punch and releases the collar. Marton falls on his knees again and Richard looking up speaks up,
"I will never become a demon-never ever in this life."
Suddenly Richard falls down and he faints.
"You unworthy humans-"
Marton speaks in a very low, breaking voice and faints out.
Fedrick orders Robin,
"Pick up the boy."
"What about Marton?
Robin asks.
"Boy spared his life; we should not kill him. Leave him where he is!"
Fedrick replies in a soft tone.
Robin nods and picks up the boy. Emmy helps Fedrick to stand up and they all leave that place.
