[INFINITE STORE – HOUSING]
7. Home Sweet Home Residence
Value: X1000 AP
Type: Legendary dwelling made of mystical wood
Description: A modern forest house built and carved entirely from Miracle Wood, a special indestructible material created by ancient dryads. It cannot be burned, frozen, destroyed, corroded, split, cursed, or affected by any offensive magic.
The wood has automatic regeneration, even inside the home. The interior temperature always maintains a perfectly regulated environment.
It is also a house that evolves according to the mana area it is located in. Using Appreciation Points, the house can be upgraded.
It is a house designed for heroes destined for greatness. Within it, rest, harmony, and abundance will never disappear.
...
...
Zarkrion read the full description carefully. His pupils dilated a bit as he slowly scanned each line. It was long, detailed… but also satisfying.
An indestructible home.
A house that improved with his power.
A warm, perfect place… a true home.
And he, a half–human dragon for days, a survivor forced to live with leaves and branches, now saw before his eyes something he never imagined he could have so soon.
The holographic model spun slowly:
A large house made of deep, warm wood; a wide balcony extending toward the light; a triangular roof doubly connected to the balcony structure; hand–carved railings around the entrance; an extended plot of land for planting, cultivating, and expanding.
Zarkrion said nothing. His face was still, serious… but his eyes showed a different spark: a deep nostalgia.
It was then that the system spoke:
["Would you like to purchase the home 'Home Sweet Home' with a budget of X1000 Appreciation Points?"]
[ACCEPT – YES / NO]
Without thinking twice, he pressed [YES].
The instant his finger touched the option, the screen exploded into luminous holographic particles. The light rose in a spiral, tracing invisible lines through the air like an ancient spell.
In front of him, in just a few seconds, the residence began to materialize.
First the ground vibrated, the roots of the grass gently receding as if welcoming the new home.
Then the wood appeared in layers: logs, beams, pillars, walls, roofs.
Everything fit together with soft clicks, like forest music.
The house built itself, part by part, as if invisible hands of ancestral dryads worked tirelessly.
And when it finished, it stood right beside the Giant Mana Tree and near the crystalline stream crossing the area.
The bluish glow of mana danced around the home, blending with the miraculous wood. It was a beautiful scene… almost too perfect to be real.
Zarkrion swallowed.
A tear fell, shining on his cheek.
"It's spectacularly perfect for me…" he whispered.
The system appeared again with a mocking yet satisfied tone:
["You won't be able to see much from outside. Go in to see everything this beautiful home contains."]
Zarkrion, without thinking, ran.
...
...
Upon opening the main door, a fresh air enveloped him. The temperature was perfect, cool but pleasant, as if it had built–in air conditioning.
The interior stretched wide, bright, modern.
The floor shimmered softly; the walls breathed; the scent of living wood and hidden flowers filled the air.
There was a long, large piece of furniture, floor lamps strategically placed in various spots, a huge dining table with fifteen sturdy chairs.
The kitchen was a dream: all kinds of utensils, perfect ceramic, modern and elegant. Resistant concrete, a modern refrigerator, white lights illuminating every corner.
Zarkrion blinked several times.
"How is it possible that this house has electricity…?" he whispered.
["It doesn't need electrical wiring to function, mana recharges it. You'll have infinite energy thanks to the Mana Tree. That's how this house works, with mana."]
The system reappeared, showing multiple panels:

Zarkrion opened his mouth, impressed.
"This house has everything… wow…" he laughed unintentionally. "There are too many windows. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me in my whole life."
But his words slowly faded.
His memories emerged.
The image of his home on Earth when he was Park Suho. The house he lived in as a child.
An abundant, bright, warm home…
Very similar to this one.
He remembered his mother.
He remembered how she kept the family together.
How every corner of their home had her touch.
A home was not just a roof.
A home was warmth… safety… love.
His chest tightened.
Silence wrapped him for a moment.
A home without family… is just an empty shell.
A tear fell, sincere and warm.
Then another.
Zarkrion let them fall.
He allowed himself to feel.
"It's been a long time…" he whispered. "But… will this be good for me?"
The system appeared at that moment, displaying a bright message:
[Congratulations – You have completed the second part of the tutorial mission
It consists of building a home in your area and gathering resources, a house of common appearance, variant of forest houses on Earth.
You have obtained:
+50 AP
+3000 EXP]
Then it added with its typical confident attitude:
["Are you still doubting it? Of course it will be enough for you. The Infinite Store never makes mistakes with its recommendations. This house is more than enough to make you happy."]
Zarkrion wiped his tears.
"I think you're absolutely right… this place fits my style more."
The system reappeared immediately:
["You finally have a new and modern kitchen. Why don't you try cooking something? I want to see you do what you're so good at!"]
Zarkrion scrunched his face.
"Mmm… but look how late it is. I think it's time to sleep."
The system didn't fall for it.
["It's still daytime. Don't change the subject! I know you're refusing to cook."]
Zarkrion frowned.
"And to think I was in a good mood with my new house, but you always show up to ruin my happy moments."
The system replied mercilessly:
["It's your fault for refusing to cook. What kind of blacksmith would refuse to forge tools if it's their passion?"]
"Who told you cooking was my passion?" Zarkrion growled. "It was just a university profession. It wasn't that serious."
The system sighed:
["You should stop running from your past. If you keep this up, you won't be able to move toward your future."]
"What does that have to do with anything? Don't think I have traumas or something," Zarkrion said, crossing his arms. "Besides, I still don't understand why you insist so much that I cook. I'm not refusing, I just… don't care for it right now."
["You shouldn't project your traumas this way, you can talk to me you know?"]
"I DON'T HAVE TRAUMAS, YOU RIDICULOUS THING!" Zarkrion shouted, offended.
The system confronted him:
["Are you sure you're not running away? You preferred to eat raw monster meat instead of cooking.
You hesitated to put on the apron when you got your cooking uniform, and you threw it in the grass like trash.
And every time I try to talk about the topic… you avoid it with some nonsense."]
Zarkrion clenched his teeth.
["What are you so afraid of? What bothers you so much about cooking?"]
His face darkened.
"That's none of your business. Your only job is to support me as my survival guide. Not gossip about my past."
The system responded, firm:
["How disappointing… you still don't understand, do you? I know almost everything about you. I am linked to fragments of your memory. Not everything, but I know things… I know your true name. Even your life on Earth."]
Zarkrion lowered his gaze.
"If you know all that… then don't ask me. Leave me alone."
The system relented.
["Do whatever you want. Anyway, you'll need to cook to finish the tutorial mission."]
Zarkrion ignored the message and went up to the balcony room.
He dropped onto the bed.
It was soft, fresh… too comfortable.
He stared at the well–carved ceiling, thoughtful.
'Cook…'
'Is it worth it?'
'Really?'
"I'm free to do whatever I want," he whispered.
He closed his eyes.
"I don't want to fail again because of cooking."
The room fell silent.
The breeze softly moved the curtains.
And as Zarkrion rested, his new home wrapped him in its peace.
A home that, perhaps…
Could finally heal what he kept running from.
And quietly, the tutorial mission countdown appeared in front of a sweetly sleeping Zarkrion.
[Tutorial mission: Time limit – 18 days. Remaining]
