Shui Yue'er's shoulders slumped immediately. Still, her dejection didn't last long. She quickly perked up again and tugged at her sister's sleeve. "Sister, you should go fight Huo Wu too. You have Spirit advantage, attribute suppression, and you're both Spirit Elders. That would test the cultivation technique's advantage much more clearly."
Water Bing'er felt her heart stir. She glanced toward Water Luan, and after receiving a subtle nod, stepped forward. At the same time, she turned politely toward Wind Fury. "Uncle Feng, I'd also like to spar with Huo Wu."
Wind Fury nodded deeply, then shot a sharp glance at his son. "What are you still standing there for? Are you a doorpost? Get down."
Feng Xiaotian lowered his head and left the arena without a word, stopping beside Fire Wushuang. His silence spoke volumes.

If this were the old Huo Wu, she would have been forced to keep her distance and slowly whittle Water Bing'er down—an approach she had never succeeded with. Water Bing'er's second Spirit Ability, Ice Armor, combined with Spirit advantage, had always shut her down completely.
But now, things were different.
Huo Wu fully activated Flame Manipulation Skill. Intense flames stored within her spirit power surged outward, merging seamlessly with her Martial Spirit. A layer of flame armor condensed around her body. While it couldn't fully negate ice-attribute Spirit Abilities, it prevented her from being frozen outright.
And since Water Bing'er wasn't an agility-attack Spirit Master, the distance between them still shrank steadily.
Once within range, Huo Wu launched her familiar burst. All three spirit rings ignited, and six Spirit Abilities erupted in rapid succession.
This time, however, the outcome changed.
Water Bing'er had anticipated the assault. She released her pre-accumulated spirit power in one breath, triggering three Spirit Abilities almost simultaneously. With Spirit advantage and attribute suppression, she actually endured Huo Wu's explosive combo.
Her spirit power plummeted, but she held firm.
If Huo Wu pressed again, Water Bing'er would be forced to concede—but she had survived the initial onslaught.
Huo Wu's eyes brightened.
She retreated instead of attacking, deliberately giving Water Bing'er time to stabilize her breathing. Only after Water Bing'er recovered slightly did Huo Wu speak.
"Try this move of mine."
As her voice fell, all three spirit rings lit up together.
This time, it wasn't just variation.
It was fusion.
Huo Wu forcefully fused her spirit rings, channeling every drop of spirit power she could mobilize through Flame Manipulation Skill. The flames condensed slowly, painfully, resisting her control. Spirit power leaked and dissipated during the process, making the release extremely unstable.
Yet she persisted.
At last, a massive crescent-shaped flame blade took form—nearly three meters long.
Huo Wu was drenched in sweat. With visible effort, she raised the blade and swung it toward the empty space to Water Bing'er's right.
The flame blade flew out—slowly.
Feng Xiaotian immediately judged that this speed wouldn't hit an agility-attack Spirit Master. Even most attack-type Spirit Masters could evade it.
But the power…
That was terrifying.
Water Bing'er chose not to test it with Ice Armor. Instead, she activated her third Spirit Ability, Repulsive Light, releasing an icy shockwave to intercept it.
The result was shocking.
Like a hot knife through butter, the flame blade cleaved straight through the ice shockwave without slowing, slammed into the ground, split the arena floor open, and detonated. A crack nearly two meters long and one meter deep tore through the stone, while the secondary explosion sent violent shockwaves outward, nearly shattering the hastily reinforced Ice Armor around Water Bing'er.
Huo Wu gasped for breath, but the corners of her lips curled upward.
She turned toward the arena's edge and shouted, "Feng Xiaotian—can you take this move?"
Fire Yang, Wind Fury, and Water Luan stepped forward at once. After examining the damage, Water Luan spoke first. "Its power is already close to a Spirit King's."
"More than that," Wind Fury added heavily. "It causes penetrating damage and then explodes. The secondary shockwave alone rivals a Spirit Elder's third offensive Spirit Ability. If it lands directly, even an attack-type Spirit King wouldn't survive."
"But the release speed and flight speed are fatal flaws," Fire Yang said, feigning indifference while barely suppressing his grin. "In real combat, who would let her stand there charging?"
Wind Fury shot him a sour look. "Old Man Huo, are you enjoying this a bit too much?"
Fire Yang straightened immediately. "Not at all. My daughter simply benefited from Flame Manipulation Skill. Once Xiaotian and Bing'er obtain suitable cultivation techniques, they can achieve the same."
He then waved Fire Wushuang over. "Brat, whether you get a cultivation technique depends on your Uncle Feng and Aunt Shui. Why aren't you thanking them?"
