Chapter 150 - Chapter 152: The Innocent Spot

"Ah—!"

Gwen Stacy screamed and scrambled backward.

Out of the ink-like black hole that had swallowed the chalkboard, a head popped out.

The man had pure white skin, dotted with black spots like spilled ink. He looked like a living ink wash painting, completely out of place in the real world.

"Hi~ Don't make that face, okay? I didn't want to look like this either!"

The spotted man crossed his arms, pretending to be offended.

However, because he crossed his arms, he lost his leverage on the edge of the hole.

WHOOSH.

He fell back into the void.

"Ahhhhh—!"

A scream even more pathetic than Gwen's echoed from the hole.

The sound faded as he fell, then suddenly grew louder again.

But this time, it came from the ceiling.

Everyone looked up. A new ink-spot hole had opened on the ceiling. As the scream approached, the spotted man plummeted from above.

The four teens dodged instantly.

SPLAT.

The spotted man landed on the practice room floor in a bizarre, twisted pose.

"Would it kill someone to catch me? No public morality these days!"

The Spot groaned and picked himself up, looking reproachfully at the four who had dodged.

None of them were amused. They stared at this bizarre scene with solemn expressions.

Only Luca, eyes narrowed, recognized him immediately.

The Spot? The Spider-Man villain? Why is he here? Is he a native villain or a multiverse visitor?

Luca recognized the character but couldn't determine his origin.

The Spot, real name Jonathan Ohnn. In most Spider-Man media, he's a scientist working for Kingpin who gains the power of interdimensional portals after an accident with a collider.

The black spots on his white skin are portable wormholes.

He can use them to move through space within the same world, or traverse the multiverse.

Though he acts goofy, his power set makes him a potentially terrifying multiverse-level threat.

However...

"Why did I end up here?"

Seeing everyone on guard and ignoring him, The Spot wasn't angry. He looked around curiously, rubbing his chin in thought.

"This doesn't look like a lab with a particle collider. But why do I feel the spatial energy here is so active? Did I get the coordinates wrong?"

As he rubbed his chin, a black spot suddenly appeared on his chin.

His right hand sank into the spot and reappeared on top of his head, scratching his scalp instead of his chin.

The scene became even weirder.

While The Spot was lost in thought, Luca and Spider-Gwen exchanged a subtle glance.

Next second.

"Gwen! Now!"

Gwen Stacy froze, confused. Me?

But Spider-Gwen (Gwen Potts) reacted instantly. She shoved Gwen Stacy behind her.

Simultaneously, she shot a web line, grabbing a nearby chair and whipping it violently at The Spot.

Luca, on the other side, kicked the dazed Harry Osborn out of the line of fire. He reached into his pocket and pressed a Hoi-Poi Capsule.

His hand felt heavy as the Dominator pistol materialized.

But before Luca could aim...

A large black hole appeared out of thin air beside the unmoving Spot.

The chair Gwen threw vanished into the hole.

In the blink of an eye, a hole opened right in front of Luca. The chair flew out at high speed, smashing toward his face.

BOOM.

Luca reacted fast. He punched out with his mechanical arm. The Mero Mero Mellow (Sweet Captive) ability surged, smashing the chair into splinters.

But the recoil sent Luca flying backward. He crashed onto the floor.

He wasn't wearing his Tuxedo today. Relying solely on the mechanical arm put immense strain on his body. Pain flared everywhere.

Fortunately, having a fragile body had its perks—the healing energy of the arm kicked in, soothing the pain instantly.

"Hey! Why ambush me? I know I'm not a good guy, but I haven't even done anything bad yet!"

The Spot, still standing in the same place, tilted his head in confusion, looking at Luca.

Luca ignored him. He raised the Dominator and fired rapidly.

PEW-PEW-PEW.

The Spot panicked and started wiggling his hips, trying to dodge.

He failed to dodge a single shot.

However, every tranquilizer dart that hit him simply vanished into the black spots on his body.

Luca and Spider-Gwen realized ranged attacks were useless.

Gwen charged forward, delivering a powerful roundhouse kick to The Spot's back.

The Spot tried to open a portal on his back, but the spot he generated was too small to swallow Gwen's leg.

THWACK.

He was sent flying.

"Ahhh! Another sneak attack!"

Mid-air, a large hole opened in front of him, swallowing him whole.

A new hole opened elsewhere. The Spot flew out, arms and legs pinned to his sides like a human missile, rocketing straight toward Luca.

"Rocket Headbutt!"

Then, Luca's vision went black.

Er... not because he got hit.

But because as The Spot was rocketing toward Luca, he inexplicably opened another portal right in front of himself.

He flew headfirst into his own hole.

He got stuck halfway.

His legs kicked wildly in the air, while his upper half was gone.

Seeing this, even the terrified Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn looked at him with strange expressions.

"Um... a little help? I think I'm stuck..."

A new hole opened on the ceiling.

The Spot's upper body poked out, looking down at them helplessly, his hands bracing against the "floor" of the ceiling.
