Two days later...
In their secret base, Yuki Seisui and his companions stared speechlessly at the sudden appearance of Jiraiya.
"Jiraiya-sensei... you blocked the river."
Minato pointed to the stream, which had split in two around the massive toad now squatting in its center.
Jiraiya looked down and saw that it was true. He scratched his head and let out an awkward laugh.
"Hahaha... my bad."
"Tch. Don't summon me next time if there's no fight!"
The giant toad, Gamabunta, grumbled around the pipe in his mouth, clearly annoyed. With that, he vanished in a puff of smoke, returning to Mount Myoboku.
He had assumed he'd been summoned for a battle, only to realize Jiraiya just wanted to show off.
What a waste of time.
As Seisui looked at the seventeen-meter-tall Gamabunta, his mind turned to the giant pandas he'd summoned before, some over twenty meters tall.
Curious, he asked, "Jiraiya-sensei, how much chakra does it take to summon a creature that big?"
Jiraiya, still regaining his balance, paused at the question and placed a hand on Seisui's abdomen to gauge his chakra reserves.
"Hmm... About all of the chakra you have right now," he replied after a moment.
Seisui's eyes lit up with joy.
That meant... he could summon a giant too!
Seeing the expression on his student's face, Jiraiya suddenly had a bad feeling.
"What are you planning?"
"I want to see how big of a panda I can summon."
"Oh... I see," Jiraiya nodded at first, then froze. Wait... there's a bigger one?
He had seen pandas before, of course, ordinary wild beasts found in some parts of the ninja world. But the panda Seisui had summoned before wasn't normal; it had powers. Based on how it spoke, Jiraiya had already guessed that Seisui had made a contract with an entire clan of these creatures. That's why he hadn't given Seisui the Myoboku summoning contract, there was no need.
He had assumed these pandas were only about three or four meters tall. But now it sounded like there were much larger ones.
Seisui only smiled mysteriously.
He quickly formed hand seals, and in the next moment, a massive panda over twenty meters tall appeared in the middle of the base.
The entire group, Seisui, Minato, Haru Uchiha, and Jiraiya, were lifted into the air, landing atop its massive head.
"Hmm?" The panda, chewing on a stick of bamboo, looked around in confusion. "Where's Seisui?"
Though it was muttering to itself, its voice sounded like thunder to the others.
"I'm up here, Brother Wu!" Seisui called out weakly.
He had used up all his chakra summoning Panda Wu, and now he was completely drained, chakra being a fusion of physical and mental energy meant exhaustion hit him hard.
Jiraiya picked Seisui up and jumped down to the ground with him. Minato and Haru followed.
Only then did Panda Wu notice him.
"Didn't expect you to be able to summon me this soon," Wu said, cracking his knuckles as he looked toward Jiraiya.
"You're the old guy Panda Ming mentioned?"
Jiraiya: "…"
What is it with this panda clan calling everyone old?
"Well, whatever. I, Panda Wu, do not bully the weak and lonely."
He turned back to Seisui and shook his massive head. "Don't summon me again for now, you're still pushing yourself too hard."
"But now that you can summon me, you should be able to start training in Senjutsu."
Seisui was taken aback. Wait, wasn't there no Senjutsu?
So why was it being brought up now?
He voiced his confusion, but Panda Wu just glanced at Jiraiya and said nonchalantly, "It's our clan's unique ability. As long as you have enough chakra, you can learn it. The boss said that since all the other clans have Senjutsu, we should have it too."
"So we just changed the name."
Jiraiya was speechless.
"Changed the name"? What kind of logic is that? Everyone knows only the three great sanctuaries have actual Senjutsu.
But then again, Jiraiya remembered the white glow around Panda Ming last time, it had felt like natural energy.
Seisui had made the same connection and asked curiously, "Is that the Overlord Body thing?"
"Overlord Body?" Panda Wu scratched his head. "Never heard of that. But hey, it's a cool name."
"You could call it Panda Senjutsu or Overlord Senjutsu. Whatever works."
Seisui realized they hadn't even named it properly yet.
But that didn't matter, he was already excited.
"Overlord Body" sounded awesome. Slap that label on anything and it instantly sounds unbeatable.
For me, Seisui, activating the Overlord Body is perfectly reasonable, right?
"Well, if there's no fight, I'm heading out. Life's just too dull," Panda Wu muttered, then vanished without another word.
"What a massive panda," Minato remarked in admiration.
Haru Uchiha nodded in agreement.
She had also formed contracts with two cats, though they were mainly used for buying weapons and gathering intelligence.
Jiraiya glanced at Seisui, thoughts swirling.
Looks like the 'Three Great Sanctuaries' might soon become four.
Even if that Overlord Body technique wasn't formal Senjutsu, its ability to completely ignore control effects made it comparable.
Last time, he had used both ninjutsu and genjutsu on that giant panda.
But it hadn't even flinched. It charged through everything like a rampaging beast.
Like a living tank.
If someone at the same level got tangled up with a summoning beast like that, it'd be a nightmare.
Thick-skinned, immune to illusions, and bursting with brute strength.
"You three are strong enough to graduate early now."
"Would you like to?"
Seisui and Minato looked at each other, surprised. They didn't understand why Jiraiya was asking that out of the blue.
Especially Seisui, he had planned to lay low at the academy a little longer.
Jiraiya read their hesitation and explained, "The war's over. All the nations are licking their wounds."
"If you graduate now, I'll take you on missions personally."
"Besides, you've already been training more than most genin."
Seisui and Minato exchanged another glance, and this time, their eyes lit up.
"Jiraiya-sensei, can I graduate early too?" Haru Uchiha asked suddenly.
Jiraiya scratched his head. "Of course!"
"I'll talk to the old man. I'll take all three of you."
"That way, we can form a team."
He didn't care that Haru was the granddaughter of Uchiha Shatana.
To him, they were all just villagers. No special treatment.
Guess Kakashi won't be breaking any records, Seisui thought to himself.
He enrolled at five and graduated at six... but who's ever heard of enrolling and graduating at six?
