Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Conversation with Odin

Odin slowly walked across the Bifrost Bridge with Kytheron.

"The Bifrost Bridge beneath your feet is the passage that connects Asgard to the Nine Realms."

Odin introduced Asgard's great achievements to Kytheron.

Kytheron already knew all about this!

At this moment, his attention was completely focused on the magnificent Golden Palace ahead, shimmering golden in the Sun!

Looking at the towering, enormous Golden Palace standing before him.

Kytheron couldn't help but recall the conversation between Hela and Thor when he watched the movie.

Hela said that she and Odin once drowned an entire civilization in blood and tears, and she asked Thor, "Where do you think all this gold came from?"

Looking at the gentle, aged, one-eyed old man standing beside him now.

It was truly difficult to connect him with the Odin Allfather, the conqueror of the Nine Realms.

"Your soul doesn't originate from this Universe, does it?"

Suddenly, Odin said this to Kytheron.

Immediately, Kytheron's steps halted, and his body tensed up reflexively!

However, he quickly relaxed again!

"That's right, I am indeed not from this Universe."

"I just fell asleep and woke up to find myself inside that dragon egg, becoming an unhatched giant dragon."

Kytheron did not hide anything from this Allfather, whose end was near.

After all, if the other party could say such a thing, then it was already confirmed.

Since they both knew, there was no need to beat around the bush any longer!

"This World is far larger than we imagine."

"Compared to the entire infinite Multiverse, the Nine Realms are nothing more than a speck of dust."

"Since you are able to come to this Universe, you must be carrying some mission."

"Originally, in the future I saw, the destruction of Asgard was a foregone conclusion, and Thor was powerless to stop it."

"However, your appearance has made the future blurry; I can no longer see through it at all!"

Odin said this, fixing his remaining eye on Kytheron.

"So, you think I will be the one to change fate?"

Kytheron asked him in return.

"No, fate is already predetermined."

"When you appeared, the past fate ceased to exist."

"You are the new fate."

Hearing Odin say this, Kytheron didn't know how to respond.

"Your growth is a miracle; the Sun in the sky is making you stronger every moment."

"To drink from the Well of Wisdom, I sacrificed one of my eyes."

"Although I only have one eye left, I gained the wisdom of Runes, which allowed me to see the fate of Asgard!"

"That was an established trajectory, one that even I was powerless to change."

"I knew that even conquering the Nine Realms would be useless; Ragnarok would eventually come."

Odin began to tell Kytheron about his past.

"What about now!"

Kytheron pressed.

"I don't know; it all depends on your choices."

"I can see that your body has an instinctive repulsion to the magic particles I emit."

"This is a weakness you must overcome."

"And in this Universe, magic is one of the most common forms of power."

To be honest, even Odin was amazed by Kytheron's growth.

Standing beside Kytheron now, he could feel the other party growing stronger every moment.

However, the only regret was that.

Kytheron's body seemed to have a natural fear and repulsion towards magic particles.

This also meant that magic could cause severe damage to Kytheron's body.

"Is there any way to make up for this flaw of mine?"

Kytheron asked Odin.

"Learn magic, let your body gradually adapt to magic particles, and gradually repair these flaws with magic."

"Or, cultivate divine power and become a God."

Odin offered two choices.

However, the first one was relatively normal, but the second one...

Becoming a God was not that simple of a matter.

"If you wish to learn magic, you can consult my Queen."

"She has mastered countless magic and secret arts of the Vanir."

As expected, Odin recommended his wife to Kytheron.

"What do I need to pay?"

Kytheron knew that Odin wouldn't say so much to him for no reason.

"No, you don't need to pay anything; just follow your own thoughts and keep going!"

Odin's words made Kytheron fall into a brief contemplation.

Considering his system, it was clear that it wanted him to participate in one major event after another.

By then, the fate of this Universe would inevitably deviate from its original trajectory.

Therefore, the fate of certain people or things would naturally change as well.

This was an open scheme, one that Kytheron could not refuse.

Once he accepted the favor of Asgard, he wouldn't feel right just standing by and watching when it was destroyed!

One God and one dragon walked side by side through the streets of Asgard.

The passing citizens, upon seeing Odin, bowed respectfully with excited expressions, then cast curious glances at Kytheron.

And because Odin was by his side, even Kytheron's enormous size did not cause a commotion.

"This is a friend of Asgard; his name is Kytheron."

"Just now, he defeated my son, Thor."

"Asgard welcomes the strong; tonight, at the Golden Palace, I will host a grand banquet to welcome our friend's arrival."

As Odin introduced him, the faces of these ordinary Asgardians showed fanaticism.

Half of it was because they heard that Kytheron could defeat Thor, and the other half was because they heard there would be a banquet tonight.

Looking at the cheering crowd around him, Kytheron felt that this place seemed quite good.

Slowly, Kytheron followed Odin to the Golden Palace.

Looking down from there, a vast landscape was visible at a glance.

"What do you think of Asgard now!"

Odin suddenly asked Kytheron this question.

"Very good; everyone's face is full of smiles."

"Like the place where I was born, it is harmonious and peaceful."

After thinking for a moment, Kytheron said truthfully.

"Then, as a king, do you think your people are more important, or the land beneath your feet?"

Odin continued to ask.

"In my World, a great man once said this."

"If you keep the land but lose the people, you lose both; if you lose the land but keep the people, you gain both."

Kytheron did not directly state his opinion but borrowed a saying from a predecessor.

"He must have been a very remarkable sage!"

Odin's face showed approval after hearing this statement.

"Of course!"

Afterward, Odin also spoke with Kytheron about Thor, his heir.

In his words, although he had high hopes for Thor, the current Thor had not met his expectations at all.

Kytheron naturally knew why Odin was so anxious: his time was running out!

In response, Kytheron naturally suggested that Thor needed to experience some hardships to mature.

One God and one dragon chatted happily.

Meanwhile, Thor, after receiving treatment, was now standing in the square with The Warriors Three, drinking and discussing the battle.
