The apartment no longer resembled the place Talia had once taken pride in.
Only a few weeks ago, every surface had been spotless. Fresh flowers had decorated the dining table, expensive candles filled the rooms with a soft fragrance, and every piece of furniture had been arranged with deliberate precision.
Now...
It looked abandoned.
Designer dresses lay scattered across the living room floor, mixed with unopened shopping bags and discarded magazines. A pair of expensive heels rested beneath the coffee table, one on its side as though someone had kicked it away without caring where it landed.
The curtains remained tightly drawn.
Even though the afternoon sun shone brightly outside, only thin strips of light managed to slip through the narrow gaps, casting pale lines across the untidy room.
Several empty wine bottles stood beside the sofa.
Some were upright.
Others had rolled onto the floor.
