Soft violins drifted through the air while conversations blended into a warm, steady hum, as though the evening had never been interrupted.
For a brief moment, I stopped at the entrance.
It felt strange knowing that only a few walls separated this joyful celebration from the quiet panic unfolding inside the private lounge.
