After hearing Tomoe's complaints that morning and seeing her drag Mio away, Makoto went on with his usual routine. Since he felt he had plenty of free time—aside from practicing magic and checking on the city's construction progress—Makoto planned combat training for each race. After discussing it with Tomoe and Mio, they decided to hold training sessions once a week. Each of them would take turns training a different race, rotating regularly.
Makoto also began studying the common language used in this world. Since he wanted to explore it freely, mastering the common tongue was something he absolutely had to do.
That night, after finishing dinner and returning to his tent, Makoto saw Tomoe already sitting beside his bed.
"What are you doing, Tomoe?" Makoto asked while looking at her.
"Waka, I've prepared your bed," Tomoe replied confidently.
"In that case, you can leave now," Makoto said casually as he took off his outer clothes and prepared to sleep.
"Waka! Am I really not attractive anymore now that you've chosen Mio?" Tomoe asked in a disappointed tone.
"And what exactly do you want?" Makoto replied, staring at her. "Stop acting foolish. Do you really think I don't know that you planned something with Mio?"
"Ugh… it seems Waka noticed," Tomoe muttered quietly.
"So, what did you plan?" Makoto asked.
"Mio and I agreed that we would take turns doing night duty," Tomoe answered while lowering her head.
Makoto flicked her forehead.
"Ah! Waka, why do you keep flicking my forehead?" Tomoe complained, holding it.
Seeing her expression, Makoto stepped closer and kissed her forehead.
Tomoe froze stiff the moment she felt the kiss. Seeing that, Makoto pinched her cheek, snapping her back to reality.
"What are you still waiting for?" Makoto said as he gently brushed Tomoe's hair behind her ear.
Realizing what Makoto had done, Tomoe's face turned bright red. Unable to say anything, she simply nodded and nervously hugged him.
After a night that felt both long and fleeting, Makoto woke up feeling something soft holding onto his arm. A sense of déjà vu washed over him. When he turned his head, he saw Tomoe already awake, gazing at him.
Makoto let out a small sigh and pinched Tomoe's nose.
"Why are you staring at me so seriously?" he asked.
"Waka… for some reason, I feel happy just looking at your sleeping face," Tomoe said without a hint of embarrassment—so different from the girl who had been too shy to speak the night before.
After getting ready—with Tomoe's help—Makoto left the tent with her. They saw Mio standing outside.
"Good morning, Waka-sama," Mio greeted with a smile.
"Good morning, Mio," Makoto replied while gently patting her head.
"Waka-sama, I have something to discuss with Tomoe-san, so we'll be leaving first," Mio said, dragging away Tomoe before she could say anything.
After breakfast, Makoto went to see Eld, the leader of the elder dwarves.
"Good morning, Eld," Makoto greeted him.
"Good morning to you as well, Waka-sama," Eld replied with a smile. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"I want you to make something for me," Makoto said while looking at the weapons and armor displayed on the wall.
"If you tell us what you want, we elder dwarves will make it immediately," Eld said confidently, his expression serious.
"You don't have to be that serious. I'm not in a hurry," Makoto replied calmly.
"I want you to make something that can store an enormous amount of magical energy," Makoto said, explaining the concept of a battery.
"As far as I know, there are tools that can store magical energy," Eld replied after thinking for a moment. "However, most of them become unstable and prone to exploding if they store too much energy."
"I know it's extremely difficult to store large amounts of magical energy safely," Makoto said. "You don't need to make something that can hold an absurd amount right away. As long as you can create a stable and safe storage unit, you can innovate and improve it over time."
Since Makoto had already formed a soul bond with the seed, he no longer needed a tool to absorb the excess magical energy leaking from his body. All he needed was for the seed to absorb it.
Before leaving, Makoto added, "Oh, and if you plan to make armor for me, I prefer something simple—clothing I can wear daily and reinforce by channeling magical energy into it."
After that, Makoto returned to his usual activities: practicing magical energy manipulation, overseeing city construction, studying the common language, and conducting combat training for each race.
In terms of combat training, races like the highland orcs and mistio lizards focused on improving their combat strength, while the Alke served as support. The elder dwarves continued to focus on research and equipment creation. Alongside building the city, all races also began farming, as it was impossible to rely on plants from the sub-dimension indefinitely.
Makoto also asked Ema to visit Shin to learn modern farming techniques and teach them to the other races, so they could use their farmland more efficiently.
One month passed after Makoto met Eld. During that time, Eld brought him several prototypes, accompanied by Baren and Rugui—the same Rugui known for crafting the Draupnir ring in the anime. Since Makoto didn't need a device to absorb magical energy, Rugui had never created one before.
After multiple failed prototypes due to instability and safety issues, they continued refining their designs until they finally produced a model that was stable and safe. Even when the storage unit broke, it didn't explode; the magical energy merely leaked out and merged harmlessly with nature.
From there on, they only needed to increase storage capacity and improve safety measures. Makoto also suggested creating modern magic-powered devices such as refrigerators, ovens, stoves, air conditioning, streetlights, and more.
In Makoto's view, magical energy was a clean energy source that didn't produce harmful pollution like gasoline or similar fuels. When the stored energy ran out, they could simply recharge it by channeling their own magical power. In normal circumstances, it could be considered an almost limitless energy supply.
During that month, Tomoe also discovered a material capable of storing and displaying Makoto's memories. This made it much easier for Makoto to explain the knowledge he had learned in his previous world.
Unfortunately, only Tomoe and Mio could understand Japanese due to their contracts with Makoto. Just as Tomoe enjoyed historical dramas, Mio—while helping translate Makoto's memories—accidentally watched anime and immediately fell in love with it. Not only anime, but Mio also became fond of Kamen Rider, fascinated by their transformations. She even went to the elder dwarves to request a transforming costume.
Makoto also taught Mio how to cook. With Makoto's vast collection of recipes and techniques, Mio didn't need to travel around to learn cooking. At first, Makoto had to teach her from the very basics—such as distinguishing between edible ingredients and non-food items—since Mio had previously been able to eat almost anything.
"You learn incredibly fast, Mio. The soup you made is delicious," Makoto said the first time he praised her cooking.
That praise made Mio extremely happy and even more eager to learn. Within a month, Mio was cooking for Makoto three times a day, using her free time to research new recipes and techniques. Even though Makoto knew many recipes, he couldn't compare to Mio when it came to actually executing them.
Mio was a true genius—teach her something once, and she would master it immediately. Teaching her basic cooking took only a single day. What took the longest was teaching her which things were edible and which were poisonous.
At night, Makoto continued practicing archery. When Tomoe and Mio learned about it, they opposed the idea, but Makoto insisted. In the end, they could only give in.
However, Makoto couldn't train every night. Tomoe and Mio became extremely anxious and frightened whenever they couldn't sense Makoto's presence. Because of that, after every archery session, Makoto had to calm them down in his room—leaving him even more exhausted than a full day of combat training.
The temporary house built for Makoto was also completed. Though it was large enough to be called a villa, Tomoe and the residents still felt it was too small for him. Until his true residence was finished, Makoto stayed there.
The house was equipped with a refrigerator, oven, stove, air conditioning, light bulbs, and even a television—created by Tomoe to display Makoto's memories. If Makoto didn't know he was in another world, he might have thought he was simply vacationing in a luxurious villa.
Makoto didn't forget to ask Tomoe about dimensional energy. Tomoe explained that dimensional energy was the force that surrounded and protected the world, like a bubble of air.
"Then how can I obtain it?" Makoto asked.
"Actually, Waka, you can already use dimensional energy," Tomoe replied while looking at him.
"How?" Makoto asked, confused.
"Have you forgotten, Waka? When you open the Fog Gate, you're using dimensional energy," Tomoe answered.
Makoto was left speechless.
"So all this time, I've been using dimensional energy without realizing it?" Makoto asked.
"Yes, Waka," Tomoe replied confidently.
"So the dimensional energy I was wondering where to find… I've been using it all along without knowing," Makoto thought to himself, letting out a sigh.
Soon after, Makoto tried channeling the energy he used to open the Fog Gate into the seed. When the dimensional energy touched it, the seed emitted a silver light that enveloped it.
After a month of archery training, Makoto's magical energy had grown so vast it was practically infinite. Even Tomoe was left speechless, as it far surpassed the power of any goddess she knew. Because of this, the seed that absorbed Makoto's magical energy had long since reached full capacity—it only needed dimensional energy.
After supplying it, Makoto realized he could now bring the seed out from within his soul.
Once he knew he could extract the seed, Makoto became unsure where to plant it. Unable to decide on his own, he called Tomoe and Mio—the two people he trusted most.
"What is it, Waka? Why did you suddenly call me and Mio?" Tomoe asked, slightly confused.
"Yes, Waka-sama, why did you call us so suddenly? I was preparing ingredients for dinner," Mio added.
"I called you both to show you something," Makoto said in a mysterious tone.
