The boy had a cool, pale complexion. He was tall and slender, with exceptionally bright eyes. Standing next to the teacher, he seemed to have a stronger presence, as if he were sparkling.
Even the plain blue-and-white school uniform looked impossibly handsome on him.
Rumor had it he was a top student from the provincial capital.
No one knew why he would transfer to a small county town like theirs during such a critical time as the third year of junior high.
He clearly looked completely out of place here.
