Xu Su lay curled up in bed, staring at the ceiling. It was impossible to tell what she was thinking, her face devoid of any emotion.
Not until the door beeped as a keycard was swiped, then was kicked open from the outside, did she sit up, her brow furrowed.
Shen Chen stormed in, his eyes bloodshot.
The door closed behind him, and his eyes fell directly on the bed, where Xu Su was alone.
He glanced at her, then rushed toward the bathroom.
He tore the place apart, inside and out, not even sparing the space behind the curtains.
Xu Su's initial alarm and nervousness gave way to an almost derisive smile as she watched him.
Wrapped in her robe, she simply leaned against the headboard, quietly watching his charade of catching a cheater.
Finally, having found no one, Shen Chen strode to the bedside. The redness in his eyes hadn't faded in the slightest as he gritted his teeth and asked, "Where is he?"
"Gone," Xu Su said calmly. "About ten minutes ago."
