Claire Sinclair raised an eyebrow. So, he was going to do push-ups.
'Then what's the point of me lying on the floor?'
Just as she was wondering, the man's face lowered toward hers. Thankfully, it didn't touch her.
Claire Sinclair's body went rigid. She was too nervous to move. "What are you doing?"
"I was going to go for a morning run, but it started raining. So, push-ups it is."
His words made Claire Sinclair notice the sound of the rain outside. It sounded heavy.
"Then what am I doing on the floor?"
"Keep me company."
'Why did he say that so matter-of-factly!'
Claire Sinclair lay there in a daze. She wanted to refuse, but a part of her was reluctant. Lying here watching him do push-ups was actually kind of fun.
