Aiden Shaw's brow tightened. He wrapped a slender arm around Laura Lowell's waist, and as he shielded the back of her head, his wrist slammed straight into the hard doorframe.
"Are you okay?"
Startled but unharmed, Laura Lowell shook her head. "I'm fine. Thank you."
Once he confirmed the girl was unhurt, Aiden Shaw's dark, deep eyes turned stern. "This is a hospital," he said, his voice cool and detached. "Please leave immediately."
The chilling aura emanating from him sent a shiver down one's spine.
The reporters exchanged wary glances, until one of them suddenly asked in a low voice, "Excuse me, are you Laura Lowell's boyfriend?"
Aiden Shaw kept Laura Lowell protectively in his arms. He looked down at the girl, and a barely perceptible hint of warmth flashed through his jet-black eyes.
"I am Laura's boyfriend."
Hearing his confirmation, the reporters frantically pressed their shutters, camera flashes going off in a nonstop CLICK-CLICK-CLICK.
