The banquet was held in the living room of The Plumstead, the main courtyard of the Quinn Residence. By now, the vast room was already filled with people.
Theodore Quinn walked onto the stage. When the people in the audience saw him go up, the chatter gradually died down.
Naturally, the rest of the Quinn family stood at the very front. Sienna Hale was in the middle. To her left was the family of three—Jenna Quinn, Carter Shaw, and Cherie Shaw—who had rushed back from the U.S.A. the day before. To her right were Seth Quinn, Clara Grant, and Miles Quinn.
Chloe Grant had wanted to stand clinging to Miles Quinn, but he had pushed her away.
Theodore Quinn stood on the stage, surveyed the crowd below, and began to speak. "Today, I'd like to thank all of you for gracing my sixtieth birthday banquet. Thank you, everyone."
As soon as he finished speaking, a round of applause erupted from the audience.
