Clara Grant quickly opened the text message. As she'd expected, it was from Sarah Shelby:

Clara Grant exited her messages. She saw she had several missed calls—a few from her mother, but the rest were all from Sarah Shelby.
She then opened WeChat and found over a hundred voice and text messages, all from Sarah as well.
Clara was shocked. 'So many calls and messages, and I didn't hear a thing. I must have been dead to the world!'
Annoyed with herself for making her friend worry, she quickened her pace and called her back.
