Sienna glanced at Seth, who was sitting across from her. She was about to say something, but seeing him start on his breakfast, she held her tongue, adhering to the principle of not speaking during meals.
She glanced over at Theodore at the head of the table and saw that he too was eating in silence, his head lowered. Sienna had no choice but to pick up a slice of bread and start spreading jam on it.
Just as she raised the jam-covered toast to her lips and took an elegant bite, a young voice—sounding somewhat lazy and nonchalant—rang out from the dining room entrance.
"Dad, Mom, Seth, I was only a little late. Did you really have to make such a big fuss and have Mrs. Wyatt call Orchidia to rush me?"
Seth merely lifted his gaze to give him a cool glance before returning to his breakfast.
