On the day Claire Jocelyn graduated from Valoria Academy of Fine Arts, Tiana Quincy was born.
After the graduation ceremony ended, without even having time to change her clothes, she and her father rushed to the hospital ward. Fortunately, her maternal grandfather and younger sister were by her mother's bedside. Meanwhile, her paternal grandparents were holding the baby on the other side, smiling so broadly their eyes crinkled into thin slits.
"Cecilia, I'm late," Ian Quincy said, overwhelmed with guilt.
For so many years, he had always been careful. To think it still happened.
"Mom, is it a little brother or a little sister?" Claire asked about the gender.
Cecilia had just given birth and was still a bit weak. She managed a small smile as she looked at Claire. "It's a little brother. When he grows up, he'll protect you and your sister."
