Li Ji poured the hot water into the bathtub.
Seeing Manman still huddled unmoving under the covers, he took the initiative to ask.
"Why don't you come over and bathe? Do you want me to carry you over?"

"You go out first. I can do it myself."
Li Ji looked at her meaningfully. "Are you being shy?"
Hua Manman said vaguely, "Just assume I'm being shy."
'We've been married for ages, long enough for our kids to be running errands. What's there for me to be shy about?'
'She was afraid this damn man wouldn't be able to control himself and would want to get frisky with her.'
'She'd just narrowly escaped death and was still shaken. She was in no mood for any of that, which was why she wanted to send him away and avoid any awkward situations later.'
Li Ji heard her inner thoughts, and his expression immediately soured.
