"Come on, open your mouth. Let me take a look."
Li Xu stood up, leaned close to the little boy, and had him open his mouth to check his tongue coating.
The tongue was pale red, the coating white. Moreover, the boy's skin was slightly dark, and his complexion was a dull yellow. Since entering the consultation room, he hadn't been very active and seemed rather timid.
Li Xu checked the boy's pulse. It was somewhat wiry.
"Dr. Li, is this a typical case of anorexia?" Wu Mengmeng asked. She then turned to the boy's mother. "Does he dislike greasy food and often complain of stomachaches?"
"Yes." The mother nodded.
"Go on," Li Xu said with a smile.
"Dr. Li, the patient's spleen and kidneys should be the problem," Wu Mengmeng concluded.
"A problem with his spleen and kidneys?" Startled, the mother panicked. "Dr. Li, is it that serious? His kidneys? How old is he to have kidney issues?"
