From harvesting the cotton to processing it into bales, Shen Weimin had lent a hand during the process. Otherwise, Xu Changqing would have never been able to finish it all by herself in such a short time.
Naturally, the cotton from two mu of land wasn't an overwhelming amount, but it wasn't a small crop either. Xu Changqing did the main work of picking, but then came the processes of ginning and pressing it into bales.
If these several complex steps were done by hand, the efficiency would be incredibly low. Producing just a pound or two of processed cotton a day would be an impressive feat.
So, while she handled the picking, the later processing still required Shen Weimin to find connections to get it turned into a finished product, just like before. The only difference was that from now on, they wouldn't need to worry about pressing oil.
