Night had fallen, but the mansion was brightly lit.
Baron York sat on one side of a long conference table, while Resident Priest Oleg and a dozen or so missionaries who had rushed here from all over sat on the other.
"On the second day after our Main God's Oracle descended, I sent a Magic Letter to His Eminence Cardinal Tyr. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a reply. Now that the situation has deteriorated to this point, I don't know where he has gone. He could be dead, or perhaps he's been thrown into the Royal Family's dungeons."
Oleg said, his expression tinged with worry.
"A Cardinal? Tyr?"
York's expression tightened upon hearing this.
He quickly frowned, a sense of alarm creeping in. "Resident Priest Oleg, if I recall correctly, is this Cardinal Tyr one of the six Cardinals?"
"Can he be trusted? Did you not consider the consequences of putting your faith in the wrong person?"
