Fuhai District.
The setting sun slanted through the window, illuminating the room.
The rosewood furniture was bathed in a faint golden glow, and fine dust motes danced in the sunbeams.
Qin Yang was lounging on the sofa, leisurely scrolling through the news on his phone and enjoying a comfortable life.
"Here, Master, open wide—ahhh."
Xiaobai held a blue-and-white porcelain bowl in one hand. After pouting her lips and blowing on the medicinal meal to cool it, she carefully brought the spoon to Qin Yang's mouth. "Be careful, don't burn yourself."
Qin Yang opened his mouth and accepted the spoonful of food, his eyes never leaving his phone.
Though it was called a medicinal meal, it was actually like a sweet, sticky rice porridge. The grains were plump and glistening, and it was delightfully sweet and smooth.
"Is it good, Master?"
Xiaobai blinked. "It shouldn't be bitter, right? Your servant added so many extra steps."
"Not bad. It tastes great."
