Chapter 11 - Little Mischief 5

"That doesn't even surprise me," Jack spat.

That's the only thing you can do

Jack sighed before continuing on his way, his fist clenched.

"It's become philosophical now," Alex continued, despite his visible embarrassment.

Jack simply made his way to the door, opened it forcefully, and made sure to remind us that he had indeed done so forcefully.

Clack!

The door slammed shut with a resounding bang, so loud that at least half of those inside went home with ringing in their ears.

That's what we call this madman, take note!

– (shut up, my head still hurts)

I hate the way you talk to me, you little bastard.

– (SO SHUT UP)

blended

After watching this show, which was as boring as it was entertaining, the rest of the class dispersed, heading to the playground with a topic of conversation.

Alex and Luc were the first.

"You don't go out? Are you a vampire? I've never seen you go out," Maëva blurted out in one of her most nonchalant tones.

Frozen, hérèse stared intently at her with an expression of disbelief before it transformed into a sly smile and eyes that glittered with malice.

"Ah, that's perfect, I prefer the blood of the Virgin Mary, but... only from those who are mute, what a shame," Hérèse blurted out in the same nonchalant but sarcastic tone before falling back into her vampiric sleep.

She clenched her teeth in anger, making them grind.

"Ugh, detestable, truly detestable," she snapped.

She jumped up and stamped her feet as if she were waiting for something.

I ignored him, far too busy thinking.

"Hey, I want to go through," she said, this time completely losing it.

I get up, tired from her outbursts, simply step out of her way, bending one leg over the other, and size her up with a raised eyebrow.

"Annoying," I muttered under my breath.

"Are you going to pass, yes or no?" I said louder, surprised that she was still standing there getting angry.

She glared at me and gave me a slight smile, not forgetting to bump into me as she passed.

– (She's still angry, what did you do to her, you annoying girl, you're very annoying)

I don't care

– Ha~, I sigh and lean back in my seat, watching her leave

– (she's not so bad)

Seen from a far, from very far away, from very, very far away

– (shut up, I don't have time for that anyway)

Stay away from that thing

– (Since when have I been asking for your opinion? You know how annoying it is to have you constantly invading my head, just shut up)

.....

I take a deep breath and close my eyes, massaging the bridge of my nose to ease the constant headache.

Then, a shadow fell upon my vision

I open my eyes, annoyed.

Jack

Nothing more, he just stared at me there, motionless, his fists and face clenched until they bled, giving the impression that he wanted to tell me something.

"Are you having a problem?" I asked, a smile beginning to appear on my face.

Silence

Hérèse smile vanishes in an instant, transforming into a cold, dark stare; her bright eyes lock onto Jack's with terrifying coldness.

Silence

Attention turned towards them, even though the leader was perfect, he was looking at them out of the corner of his eye with a smile on his lips.

Finally, having overtaken her, Jack shifted to the side and threw himself onto his seat with resentment, but moved very close to hérèse ear.

PAF!

Hérèse slapped him across the face and walked away with an expression of disgust.

Jack stood with his face cupped, his head bowed and pressed against him.

"The bastard," he murmured.

-- Irene is waiting for you in the boys' locker room; it's important, he won't accept a refusal.

Hérèse stared at him out of the corner of her eye, still keeping a safe distance, she scrutinized him.

– If it's so important, let him make the trip himself

Jack looked up in surprise, his mouth slightly open.

Hérèse stared at him again

"What are you waiting for? Go and give him the message!" he whispered, raising an eyebrow.

Jack Swears, despite his nonexistent beard, fought hérèse with his eyes.

Annoyed, hérèse gave him another slap on the face

"Move," he said, dry and cold.

Jack grabbed him by the collar, his eyes red and his jaw clenched.

– you're sick-

Crack!

He gets his nose broken again by who else but a hérèse .

Jack collapsed to the ground, his nose bleeding. No one bothered to come to his aid. He pinched his nose tightly to stop the bleeding and looked up at Hérèse .

Without affection, hérèse looked down at him and hurled her words at him.

– Now you have a reason to go back, don't forget to pass on my message

"You're sick," Jack managed to say, now with a purple stain of bissap and blood on the front of his uniform.

A day filled with Sal

He got up, feeling a little dizzy, but went out anyway, holding onto the wall.

I stared into space for a moment, then took a handkerchief from my pocket and wiped my hands.

– (What have I done now?)

BRINNNN!

The break had just come to an end, although some curious onlookers had already returned before.

This whole story doesn't make sense to me, how did it end like that, ha~, it's all starting again.
